Not bad on the product selections although the prices are a bit on the high side. The food is ok, I got the platter which was a good deal for under $ 10. Rice was delicious, shawarma was dry and bland, tabouli was average. Good place to have to grab some ethnic groceries. Great prices on hookah supplies

I am exploring my taste bud and started cooking/trying out middle eastern/Indian fusion food more often. I went to an international market and wasn’t able to find what I needed but luckily I found this place which was right down the street from me! They have a wide variety of food for an affordable price. Not only that, they have a food court area inside of it which has some freshly cooked food for really cheap!

I’ve driven passed Al Madina for so many years and had no idea what it was until my Desi Bestie told me about it. Al Madina is a Middle Eastern grocery store that has Middle Eastern/Desi ingredients and sells halal meats. I was happy to find goat sold here. I’ve always bought frozen goat that I could only find at Lilburn Farmers Market. Inside the store, on the left, you will see a small food court that sells snacks like samosas. I’m not a fan of meat samosas but their chicken samosas are to die for! They are so yummy and comes in big triangular shape. There are many desserts for sale too like baklava that is made fresh. Towards the back of the store on the left, you will see a small boutique that sells elegant hijabs. Towards the back of the store is where the halal meats are sold. In the middle of the store, there are aisles of ingredients for sale. Many I am able to find elsewhere but if you’re here shopping for the halal meat, then you can come get the rest of your grocery here. Whenever I want good, yummy chicken samosas or buy halal goat, I will come back.

Please do not pass this place whenever you’re around. I have never ever tried better Mediterranean deli in my entire life, their humus and veggies are fantastic and tastes like… I doubt I could put it into words. Treasury that has to be found by everyone who is seeking for a quality authentic food.

I go to this place from time to time for specific items I cannot find somewhere else. The variety is ok. The meat is a bit expensive and sometimes I discovered at home that I got spoiled meat, the smell and the black spots is a giver. There is not much risk for the rest of the item because they are either packaged/canned or frozen. There is small restaurant inside. The quality is ok. Prices expensive. The staff is friendly. The owner is a nice guy though and I guess the issues with his store are maybe negligence from some employees.

Great find esp if you are seeking ingredients for Middle Eastern, Central Asian, and Indian recipes. Large store with an incredible selection. They also have a bakery with sweets, fresh breads(pita, lavash, and Ethiopian injera bread) and a food stall serving hot foods. Located next to Aldi.

Clean, well lit and lots of selection of beef, lamb, chicken and goat. What else could you want in a supermarket? A wonderful baklava bakery and walk up restaurant, you say? Done. Really loved this place. We’ll be back.

I just discovered this place and have been there twice. I love their baklava and pita bread. The baklava is not overly sweet which is the way I like it. The pita bread is fresh and is only $ 1.99 for a pack of 5. They also have Bosnian bread and other types of flat breads. I just went to their café for the first time and it was very good. They give you a lot of food. I tried the chicken and steak plate that comes with 2 sides. I got the hummus and it was so good and very creamy. Buying store bought hummus may never happen again. My quest now is seeking out different Persian/Mediterranean markets in the Atlanta area. What a fun quest this will be!

Al Madina is a Halal grocery store and market located along Jimmy BLVD in the same shopping center as the Aldi and Family Dollar. I’m uncertain whether the store is under new ownership, but it was once quite shabby and rundown. A recent renovation has improved things a great deal. It’s clean, the shelves are stocked and well-organized and there is a seating area with a flatscreen in the café area. I’m not much of a cook myself, but if you are and your culinary tastes trend toward the Persian and Mediterranean then Al Madina will be a dream. Even if you’re not a cook, items that are usually quite expensive, such as pistachios, or others that are outright difficult to find, such as hazelnuts, are available and affordable here. I go to Al Madina for two reasons: their bakery and café. The bakery is exceptional. Each morning they bake pita bread and sell it in packs of five for about $ 2.00. Often it is fresh out of the oven and quite literally still warm to the touch. The sweets are just beautiful. There are several different types of baklava made(the pistachio being my favorite) as well as other delightful treats. The café serves chicken and steak shawarmas, lamb chops and kofta. Of these, I have had the kofta and the steak shawarma. The kofta was quite good, but I’ve had better elsewhere. The steak shawarma was outstanding. For those who don’t know, a shawarma is basically meat(usually chicken or steak) wrapped in pita bread, served with tomatoes, pickles and Tahini sauce. Additionally, Al Halal uses a chili pepper sauce which I found to compliment the Tahini wonderfully. This was as good a shawarma as I’ve had anywhere. Finally, if you like to cook and you’re looking for what can be hard to find ingredients for a Mediterranean meal or you simply enjoy that region’s cuisine, certainly stop by and see what Al Madina has to offer. I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. Pros: Has otherwise difficult to find items and really good sandwiches and pastries. Cons: No significant negatives. Verdict: Recommended.

The new remodel looks absolutely amazing. The owner has always been a really great guy, but it’s great to see a Halal Grocery that isn’t in shambles anymore. Always my first choice when the need arises!

REBUILTANDREMODELED. The inside has completely been remodeled and it is a must see. They have a very large grocery are as well as a NEW meat department. The left side also has a small café where you can order some gyro sandwiches and such. Very surprised by the new look
