I have to give credit to my wife for finding this company. I called and made an appointment with Tim right away and he was Nice and on time. I had called at least Four other companies prior to calling Tim. The other companies were a Lot more Expensive and they kept Rescheduling Me.

I Can’t thank Tim and his guys enough for doing an awesome job on our Alumawood patio cover. They were on time, clean, and efficient. Not to mention professional. At our estimate appt. Tim gave us a quote in writing that was cheaper than the other quotes received. He was also able to move us up in his schedule so that we could get it done faster. He walked us through the entire process and kept in touch the entire time. I would definitely recommend this company. Great Service!

Stumbled across this company from a delivery ad. After speaking with other competitors wanting about 9,000.00 for the same product, my wife and I called the shade makers and had a appt with Tim. He was on time, friendly and courteous. He honored the offer that was in the AD and didn’t try to bambuzzle us into some underlying fee. About a month later, his workers came and did an excellent job on the patio cover installation. I would definetely contact Tim again when I upgrade my backyard patio cover.

With so many choices of Patio covers, I was referred by family/​friend to Shade makers. Tim came out next day for consultation. He was so professional he made us feel like family. Within 3weeks of our quote our patio was scheduled & finished in just a few hours. Tim was on-​site day of & after he left his crew was friendly, fast, and efficient! I would recommend this company to everyone in the area.

Shademakers did a fantastic job on our patio cover! We had it installed last spring and we have had no problems with it. We live in the Windy City of Fontana and it has stood up beautifully! We shopped around and although they were not the cheapest, my husband and I really liked Tim and decided to go with him. We were in a crunch to get it installed in time for a birthday party and they came through. I came home from work and they had it completely installed in one day! They had everything cleaned up and payment wasn’t required until completion.

Love our new patio cover and overall experience with The Shademakers. I shopped around and got several quotes. Tim gave me a competitive quote and his overall design ideas easily surpassed the input I received from anyone else. We previously had a open lattice alumawood patio and switched to a solid cover with roman columns. The Duralum products used by The Shademakers are far superior to our previous patio which was 10 years old. No payment or deposit was needed until the completion of install was nice. Installers were professional and very courteous while working in my backyard. I would highly recommend the Shademakers.

I have been meaning to write this review for a few months but I guess I was just to busy enjoying our new covered patio. Tim and his crew did a fantastic job on the install I’m ecstatic with the finished product. I would highly recommended upgrading to the pillars or columns as I feel it really adds a more custom look.

From start to finish Tim was professional and courteous. He answered every call and/​or text in a quick manner. I had two estimates prior to his and not only was his price the most competitive, his work and final product was superior! He and his crew installed a 50×13 solid patio cover with 6 post lights, 3 fans and 2 flood lights. The sandalwood with sienna wood ceiling color just made it pop. I must note that his crew were very professional as well and answered any questions I had and did a great job. The best thing about Tim and The Shademakers is that he backs his labor and product with a lifetime warranty! Bottom line, I am 100% completely satisfied with the final product and would highly recommend him to anyone that is interested! Thank you Tim and crew for this great experience!

We absolutely love our patio cover. Tim took all my calls and all my text messages were replied back ASAP. I am a very picky person and had lots of questions. He was soo nice and answered all my questions perfectly. I would highly recommend the shade makers. Thank you again and I will tell as many people I can about your company.

Let me start off by saying that we are extremely happy with the final product. The patio looks beautiful, and appears to be extremely sturdy. As far as a rating for the finished product goes, I would definitely say 5 stars.
The customer service is where we had a problem with The Shademakers. Here are a few of the issues that we encountered:
— I was told that the installers would be at my home at 7:30AM on Thursday morning. Instead, I had a gentlemen show up at my house unannounced at 6:00PM Wednesday night. The day of the install, no one arrived at the scheduled time. Instead of calling me to let me know, I had to call Tanya at 9:00 to ask where the installers were. I understand if they were held up at the factory, but I feel that we should have at least been informed.
–The installers themselves were very hard workers, but they were messy — I’m still finding metals shards and screws all over my grass and patio. This is problematic since we have a dog and a young nephew that likes to play out there.
–Our coach lights were special order, and as such were not in on the expected date. When I had initially spoken to Tanya about this, we were informed it would be no problem to have the installers come back to put them in. Unfortunately, we had a very difficult time attempting to do this. We left a message for Tim on his cell phone Friday afternoon, called the office and left a message Saturday morning, and had to call again twice Monday (leaving two seperate messages) before finally being called back. Instead of apologizing for not returning our calls, it seemed like we got nothing but excuses and the run around. Then, without confirming with us, the installers were sent back to our house even though we had not yet received our patio lights. Neither Tanya nor Tim had called to ask us if this would work okay for us. We had not received the patio lights yet, so the installers were sent for nothing. Had someone from The Shademakers called to confirm with us, it could have been avoided.
–Once our coach lights were finally installed, we had no clue whether or not we were supposed to schedule our final inspection or not. We tried to get a hold of someone at The Shademakers to confirm, but got no response. My husband had to call the city himself to find out when the inspectors were coming.
Long story short, the customer service is a 2. I’m disappointed that it started out good, but once money changed hands we could not get a hold of anyone. I was also disappointed that no one at The Shademakers seemed apologetic for all the mix-​ups and lack of communication. To this day, we never received a follow up call to ask if we were happy with the final product.

Found Tim through the local home improvement magazine that was mailed to our house… saw the positive reviews on Unilocal and decided to give him a call for a quote. i had also gotten quotes from 2 other vendors prior to my meeting with Tim. Tim was very informative, answered all our questions, and I didn’t feel any pressure from him. I got a good vibe from him and we knew we definitely wanted to go with him if we decided to do a patio in our backyard.
With a patio, my husband can now bbq in the backyard in rain or shine, morning or night! Our previous house had the old school wooden patios. but those are a pain in the ass since it is more likely to leak after time, have termites, need to be painted, and just really heavy overall. I had done some research before getting a patio at our new place and decided that Alumawood is the way to go. It looks kinda like wood, but without the headaches. It’s lightweight, easy to install, no maintenance, less chance of leaks, and no possibility of rotting wood due to leaks.
We decided to go with the Corbel design with the dark brown posts and off white roof (Sienna and Sandalwood) and it looks beautiful! He said this color combo is one of the most popular among his clients. He even installed post lights and fans at no extra charge! We just had to go to Lowe’s and buy the fans and lights we wanted and they installed them. Both other vendors i got quotes from said fans and lights were an additional few hundred dollars extra if I wanted to add them. The rain gutters on these patios are also very slender and attached along the 2 outer posts. totally inconspicuous and not bulky.
Once our concrete was done and ready to go, I gave Tim a call and he came out for a final measurement. He went to the city and applied for our patio permit and we were ready for installation in around 2 weeks. His crew came out Monday at 7:30am and they finished the installation by 6pm that night. The inspector came out to sign off the final product within 1 – 2 days and we are now ready to enjoy our new patio!
Tim, his wife, and crew are all very friendly and they cleaned up the work area and I couldn’t have had a better experience. His pricing was definitely reasonable and very competitive with other vendors. He also offers lifetime warranty on his patios. Definitely recommend getting a quote from Shademakers if you’re in the market for a patio!

I am very happy with my insulated patio cover from The Shademakers. Tim and his crew were professional and did an amazing job! I had a 12×55 foot insulated patio cover installed with three fans. I can finally use my backyard. Everyone who comes over says my backyard is finally useable. I would recommend The Shademakers to anyone wanting a patio cover. I love it!!! Thank you Tim and staff for making my backyard oasis complete.

I read good reviews about this company, so I went ahead and scheduled an appointment with Tim. He was very friendly, easy to work with and answered all my question. It was a no brainer to use this company to install my patio cover and they didn’t disappoint. There was a little confusion as to how our patio lights were going to work, but in the end Tim worked it out to satisfy my needs. I have been waiting for years to get a patio cover done in my backyard. I decided to get three of bids, after meeting with all three company’s it was a no brainier. Tim is very professional and new exactly how to answer my questions in detail right down to the permit process. Honestly they were a little higher in price than the other two bids. You get what you pay for. It took only a couple of weeks to order and install my patio cover with two fans that Tim recommended. It is amazing how great it looks. I am super stoked with the entire process. Great job shade makers, I am a raving fan.

I had my patio installed by ShadeMakers about two years ago, and I am extremely happy with it. Tim and his team were great! I came across Shade Makers through the Corona Coupon Magazine and decided to give them a call for a quote. If any of you are familiar with the many coupon magazines we receive monthly it’s difficult to know which advertisement is true… I called a couple of others I found in the same magazine. We decided to go with Shade Makers because Tim was very knowledgable, friendly, and he gave us the best deal! Our patio was installed as promised without any delays, light fixtures, and fans. I recommend Shade Makers to anyone who is in the market for a patio cover, I’m sure you will be happy with Tim’s service.

Tanya and Tim are a one-​two winning combo! The install team arrived timely (even in this hideous heat) and diligently worked away all day. Take advantage of the free fan install… you won’t regret it. What can I say? Installation, fit and finish of materials is barnone; pricing is awesome too. I highly recommend The Shade Makers… they improved my backyard 1000%!
