Specialties

We specialize in building confidence in the youth, a trait that is far more valuable than most educational programs and institutions offer in this day and age. Unlike most equestrian programs, we can booster about our 2001 youth world champion equitation rider, not to mention the many other local champion horse and rider combinations. The KRA program is hugely successful because it is a A to B stepping stone process that has held together since the beginning in 1975. This same system has been used to train children with special needs with great success.

The KRA system is based on safety first. We offer our program to adults of any age and experience that want to enjoy the great out doors while firming up and losing those unwanted pounds.

History

Established in 1975.

The history of Koscki Riding Academy began at Imperial Equestrian ctr in South Gate where today Susie Hutchinson has her sell barn. Over the last thirty five years, the KRA system has gone through many changes with one common trait, Get Results! Today getting results is more about personal growth and harmony than a ribbon and a huge monthly barn bill. Nonetheless, we keep producing winners because we don’t know how to do it any other way. Success is always success regardless of the mission.

Meet the Business Owner

John K.

Business Owner

The director of Koscki Riding Academy is John. John’s vision is safety first with calculated risk. «It is the nature of the horse business to be at risk, but that doesn’t mean being careless or not working everyday to perfect your craft» says John. «I have only cared about one thing and that is producing a better product in my horses and in my riders. I started training professionally in high school, because I didn’t have a choice. It was a passion I could not walk away from regardless of the sacrifices that were ask of me“says John

«I have trained reiners, hunters, jumpers, saddle-bred Pintos and Peruvian Pasos».

«I have worked for the BLM as a wild technician and a guide and packer for Yosemite. I have trained western horses on the east coast and english horses on the west coast».

My mantra is, «I am what ever I have to be to get the job done». This line has carried me, my students and my horses to many more places than I could of ever imagined.
