Jenna is awesome. I always leave with great hair. Had extensions with her for about 9 months and she just did the most amazing color combo on me! She aims to please and whether I’m in her chair for an hour or 3, time flies cuz she’s so great to chat with. As long as I’m in NYC she’s my girl.

I’m an actress, and I recently purchased hair extensions from Jenna for a show I’m in. I wanted long hair that looked like it could be my own hair and not an obvious weave, so I found her many positive reviews on Unilocal and booked a consultation. At the consultation, Jenna was very up front and honest about what the cost would be, the time it would take, and what she was able to do. I was concerned that she may not be able to match my hair texture as I’m African-​American and my hair is thicker and coarser than most extensions I’ve seen. She assured me she’d be able to match my hair and that I’d be happy with the results.
After having the extensions in for about 2 weeks now, I can 100% say that the positive reviews Jenna has received here are more than earned. During the appointment she was impossibly pleasant, wonderfully positive, and did an extraordinary job. She even took the time to layer the hair in the front so that it looked natural, and people who saw me a month ago had no idea I was wearing extensions even though my hair is about six inches longer!!! I was only going to keep them in for the duration of the show, but my friends and co-​workers have begged me to keep my hair like this for a bit longer. I’m so grateful to Jenna and her lovely assistants, and I couldn’t be happier with the job they did. The who thing is pretty pricey, but well worth the money. Great experience overall.

I’ve been meaning to write this review for a while since I’ve been seeing Jenna for years and always leave blown away (pun possibly intended). I really can’t say enough about Jenna. She knows color like no other and her cuts are always better than I could have ever expected. I never feel rushed and she takes plenty of time to talk with me about what it is I’m looking for, even when I’m not completely sure myself. I’ve never been so consistently happy with a stylist and I completely trust her skills and option. I’ve always been someone who is extremely «particular» about my hair and my standards for anyone cutting/​coloring it were almost unreasonably high. Jenna not only meets, but significantly exceeds them. She’s talented, professional, a perfectionist, and super fun/​easy to talk to. I can’t think of a better combination and I’ll never go elsewhere!

I’ve been to Jenna’s hair studio twice now and although I’m new, I’m fully comfortable and satisfied with Jenna’s services. My first appointment was back in February when I reached out to Jenna to see if she could help me grow out my shaggy pixie cut with some extensions.
Jenna kept it real w/​me as to what could work and what wouldn’t. She recommended a solution that would look both natural and sexy. I loved the end result! She did an amazing job. People who saw my hair really thought my hair had grown overnight. Little did they know that Jenna had put some hair in. My hair’s been growing like crazy and those puppies have stayed in and grown along with me. I’m excited to go a little longer in future.
Recently, I went back to get my color retouched as she had color matched my fading golden brown hair to my new extensions, a rich brown. She did an incredible job yet again and even took a quick peek to see how my extensions were doing. Her assistant Brigitte is also a complete pleasure to deal with. They are a fantastic duo and I already feel like we’re BFFs. So accommodating and friendly! I hope to be coming to Jenna for a long time since I have no need for any other NYC stylist.
All in all, Jenna is a hair goddess with an incredibly warm funny personality that makes you come back for more. I’m so lucky to have found her.

Words can’t describe how happy I am with my hair. About week ago I decided to go get my hair done. I wanted something fun and edgy. Unfortunately, the place that I went to damaged my hair, and I had just about 5 different colors in my hair, and to top it off my haircut was not even. I was mortified! I had to walk around with my clown hair. I came home very upset and decided to find another place. I found Hair By Jenna Rosa through Unilocal,and read all the reviews and saw the photos that were posted here. It convinced me enough to call and make an appt. I told the the receptionist my problem, and she told me that it can be fixed. At the moment I felt happy. When I arrived for my appt., the place is so big and beautiful. I loved the art work on the walls. The receptionist is awesome. She is very sweet and attentive. Jenna is just a beautiful person who is passionate about hair. Jenna saw my crazy hair and consulted me on what we should do. Jenna’s ideas and visions are amazing. She is just honest and she will tell you what would work best for you. Nothing is better than hairstylist that knows and loves what they do. Thank you Jenna! YOU ARE AMAZING!!! =)

Best hair stylist!

*i got compliments on my way home and one girl asked where I got my hair done!* Over all the extension hairstylists I’ve seen on Unilocal I chose Jenna Rosa, let me just say if you want great blended extensions this is your girl, I came in with uncut clip in extensions and she cut them flawlessly! Dude don’t go anywhere else for your extensions this is seriously the girl you should trust, she’s on point ! Will def be back! Also i really loved how she cut them and my hair to make it easy for me to put them on in the morning no more braiding underneath! Yippy!

I have been going to Jenna for the past 5 years. From a short dark choppy bob to long blond locks — she always hits it spot on. I have never left there feeling uncertain about my hair. She is a perfectionist, and who wouldn’t want that in a hairstylist! I have recommended her to many of my friends, and feel 100% comfortable in her hands!

I have fine /​short hair… and very little of it (essentially helpless). Jenna is a magician!!! I sit in her chair, we have great conversation and before I know it, its all over and I don’t even recognize the head staring back at me in the mirror. I have never felt anything less than amazing leaving jenna’s…she, my hair and I have enjoyed a wonderful threesome for almost 2 years now and I pray this arrangement never ends!!!
So to anyone in doubt, stop reading all these great reviews and book an appointment already!

I’ve been going to Jenna for 6 years to get my hair cut and it always looks fabulous. I recently got highlights and she did a gorgeous job. I always have a blast at my appointments and leave looking great.

Jenna is the absolute BEST! I searched for years for someone who knew how to work with my hair and could give me a haircut I’d love. I finally found that in Jenna and never looked back. She knows the perfect cut and color for me, and I trust her completely to make my hair look great. And on top of her skills, she’s totally adorable and funny and I always look forward to seeing her! There’s no one else in NYC who should be doing your hair. :)

I have thick wavy/​straight dark hair and Jenna is the only person in NYC who is able to cut it so that it isn’t too «heavy» but also not overly texturized/​thinned out. I also like to get highlights a few times a year and Jenna is one of the few people I know who can give me the subtle highlights I want without them looking brassy. Thank you Jenna!!!

Not only is Jenna an incredible person & friend but she has been the Best stylist I have even been to. Not only has Jenna created the most beautiful color for my hair but she was an amazing extension artist! My hair is very fine but Jenna was able to give me extensions that I literally could NOT live without! It was the hair I had always wanted but was just not blessed to have. She gave me the perfect cut and when I tell you no one knew I had an entire head of extensions, no one knew! It looked that natural! She blended my color absolutely perfectly with the extensions. I mean spot on perfection. The most impressive thing for me though wasn’t even her skill, it was her flexibility to work with my schedule. She would fit me in no matter what and I always left feeling like a new woman. She’s been my hair stylist and my friend for years and to have her be the one to do my hair for my wedding was truly an honor. My color, my up-​do, my hair jewelry came out absolutely perfectly! I HIGHLY recommend Hair by Jenna Rosa!
