Kearney Moving & Storage

I called from Connecticut to get help prior to flying to Venice, FL to help move my mom.
Mr. Kearney was very helpful on the phone and he was able to give me an approximate quote on cost… seemed good to me, so I booked a date and a window of time for them to come. When I got to FL I was nervous about the move and called just to make sure they were coming. YUP they said «we will be there» and sure enough they came with a big truck and two movers. The guys were really nice and worked fast. When all was said and done I asked how much so I could write out the check. I was fully expecting the higher end of the estimate given by phone, but to my surprise it was the lower end. This just could not get any better! Thanks Kearney Moving!!!

Outstanding service! My last moving experience with another company was a nightmare — so many items damaged :(My friends recommended Kearney Moving and they did not disappoint. They were on time, carefully wrapped all of my items (which the other company did not do!), kept checking with me on how to handle items, and placed everything in my new residence without a scratch! They even came in under the quoted price because they were so efficient. I highly recommend this company.

I had a great experience with Kearney for my long distance move recently. Leading up to my move they were very responsive in answering my questions and handling last minute additions to my inventory list. I didn’t want to do an in-​person inventory in order to get a quote, so was glad they were willing to estimate based on an inventory list. They were also pretty flexible on timing which wasn’t necessary but still made me feel comfortable that I wasn’t locked into specific dates with deposits and whatnot.
I called a few places including DIY options like UMove and PODS. The quote I got for Kearney was really close to PODS and included full service, it was also much lower than quotes I received from other full-​service moving companies. Perhaps the quote was lower than other movers because my shipment was to be included on an 18-​wheeler with other shipments which was fine with me as long as nothing got lost or broken (which it didn’t).
My dad actually handled the pickup for me, so I’m not sure how the movers were, but he didn’t have anything negative to say (he would have told me, trust me). My stuff was delivered well w/​in the estimated window and the guys doing the unloading were great. Fast, professional, and careful. All of my furniture was wrapped really well and nothing was damaged in the process.
My only negative would be that I needed to call the driver to check when he was doing the pick up since we still hadn’t heard anything the day before the furniture was to be picked up. He said he’d be there the next day which was fine since we’d planned to be available, I was just expecting there to be more communication closer to the move date.
All in all it was a great experience.

I saw these guys in the paper for the best of Venice and hired them. I’ve never used a moving company before but these guys were awesome. No hang ups, they held my stuff on the truck over night until my closing. If I ever move again I will call them again for sure.

OMG ! Run fast away !!
Where do I begin… the fact they were 2 ½ hrs. Late or when they did arrive they all ran in the bathrooms, Not one asked for permission !!! Items missing, wet furniture, moved in the rain, nothing covered. The guys would stop working and I would have to go find them and when I did they were wandering around my house!!! Asked them what r u doing? they said just looking around !!! R u kidding me !!! Owner said he would b at move to supervise, ha! Never saw him.
No one asked if we were happy after they were done.
I could go on forever but getting mad just thinking about what a joke and a waste of money. Whatever u do DONT use this company !!
