In addition, anglers will find a plethora of fishing locations in Casey Key. Fish from our docks, shore fish on the Gulf of Mexico, rent a fishing kayak for the Sarasota Intracoastal Waterway, venture a mile to the North Jetty or even book a fishing charter on-​site.

Guests of the Motel can visit the private beach a short path away. Search for sharks teeth in the sharks tooth capital! Locate seashells, sunbathe, swim in the beautiful waters and maybe even catch a sea turtle hatch at night.

History

Established in 1980.

A Place to Be Motel was a beautiful resort for many years since it opened. From about 2011 – 2013 the property was in foreclosure. Now, with new owners, it has been spruced up, and the rooms and property offer an Old Florida touch once again.
