Pat -A- Cakes and Cookies Too

When visiting family in Westfield a couple of weeks ago, our conversation during lunch turned to cakes. We were told that the bakers at Pat-​a-​Cakes are exceptional, making their cakes as beautiful as they are delicious. Oh, and they have the best cookies, too?!
So, after lunch, we decided to grab some cookies to take home with us. We walked into the smell of heaven and chose a baker’s dozen of cookies to take home, leaving one out to sample before we even made it to the car.
Oh. My. Goodness. Sorry, mom, but This was the best chocolate chip cookie I have ever eaten. Trust me when I say I’ve eaten a lot of good chocolate chip cookies, too! Ever so slightly crunchy on the outside and edges with the most fudgy textured center I’ve ever tasted in a cookie.
We got an assortment of flavors (m&m, chocolate, peanut butter chocolate chip, toffee…). They were all very good, but the chocolate chip was to die for. I was impressed! I definitely want to try some of the other selections and eventually even a cake.
I will have to plan my Westfield family visits in between crash diets because I don’t think I can ever make the trip again without stopping in for a cookie… or 13.
