Rockin Robin’s Retro and Resale

As the other reviews are not very recent, I thought I’d give an update. This store is under new management as Robin has unfortunately moved on. Things have changed, including the styles, prices, and most of all, the service. The new owner was occupied with a women she was photographing in some of the store clothing, presumably for marketing purposes. Not only did she not acknowledge my presence in the store, but never seemed to notice me waiting at the register to purchase the items I chose (and it’s a fairly small place). I finally spoke up, but when she still kept fussing with a dress on the woman modeling, and then stood back to take photos of her, I just left the items there and went home. Disappointing.

Seems like a great place for costumes but I was looking for furniture. None of that here. Oops!

I had such a great first experience at Rockin Robin’s! I went in to find an outfit to wear for a Mad Men-​influenced party and I asked the owner for help. She immediately identified several dresses for me to try and once I had picked out my favorite, she helped me find the correct jewellery, shoes, and accessories to complete my look. It was so fun! The store has so many things and best of all is Robin’s ability to help you put together a look. I would highly recommend paying her a visit next time you are looking for a special outfit. She’s got a great eye!

So much fun! A number of members of my family were staying in Niwot for a long weekend before a family event, and frankly tempers were a little crispy. (It was a day ending in Y.) To work off some excess energy and kill some time before the event, we wandered up the main drag to see the sights, and ended up in this adorable little shop. Fun ensued for three generations; I picked up two gorgeous necklaces in the Mrs Gotrocks style (hey, that’s who I am at the moment, and Robin’s prices were just ridiculously good), my mom found a couple of wonderful dress jackets, and my nephew danced around a lot. (He tells me he wants the giant red-​velvet chair shaped like a high-​heel pump. Noted, kid.) A lot of fun, with some unique finds and a happy atmosphere.

Love this joint! Fabulous finds and such welcoming energy. I love the concept of bopping while you shop. The music is always enticing and fun.
Robin the owner always recommends and helps me find cute peices. She is very intuitive at picking out outfits and styles that suit you. Her staff is also very nice and welcoming and I can tell they enjoy working there. Which makes the atmosphere even better!
I highly recommend Rockin’ Robins for your consignment and shopping needs.

I wish I lived closer so that I could buy here more often. This store is so cute and Rockin Robin is a hoot. I found myself dancing and singing along to the awesome music while I shopped. I ended up buying a set of clip-​on earrings from the $ 1 box. I left an adorable vintage hat, and I totally regret it. Don’t buy it! I need to go back for it!
A mix of vintage and newer items, the price is always right. A lot of vintage shops price really high, but not Rockin’ Robin’s.

I went in looking for an 80s prom dress for a party with That 80s Band and Robin was just great! First she switched the jukebox music to all 80s, then grabbed a bunch of dresses for me to try on.
I found a spectacular vintage 80s prom dress and she helped me accessorize the whole outfit for the perfect 80s look! She gave me a bunch of ideas and tips on how to do my hair. I think shopping for the party was just as much fun as the party actually was.
Robin is really a blast and I thank Unilocal and the reviews for helping me find her. I would have never known of her fantastic shop otherwise.

A friend took me to visit a «fun little shop» in Niwot. And how! Vintage clothing, quirky, clean and rock n rolling! Took our g’daughter back and as a fashionista at the mature age of eleven… she knows fashion AND a great deal! As for the owner, Robin, she is passionate about life with fashion thrown in as seasoning. Maybe not always tasteful but ALWAYS bursting with flavor! Rock on!

What a great little shop! B. and I chose a Sunday afternoon for our first Niwot visit, which was a mistake, because the town was deserted. I went back during the week because this clothing store was so intriguing. I walked out with three skirts purchased at great prices and a slight buzz from Robin’s amazing energy and enthusiasm. (There are some people who are just so awesome that it rubs off on you.)
This is not just a place to find great clothes. Robin also serves as a network hub for local live music. She keeps track of all kinds of local events and shares them on the Rockin’ Robin website.
She also has a temporary 2^nd shop set up at Twin Peaks Mall in Longmont for the summer of 2013.

Rockin Robin’s is fantastic! I was in Boulder for the first time a couple of weeks ago to be interviewed on George Noory’s new show, Beyond Belief on Gaiam TV, and went to visit my friend of 30 years, Rockin Robin. I had seen photos of her store but had never visited. Robin told me to bring an extra suitcase for shopping, but I scoffed at the idea. «I don’t need any clothes, and I don’t need to be spending money before tax time.»
Well, I should have brought that extra suitcase, because I came home with a gorgeous chocolate colored velvet jacket, an antique black kimono, (perfect to wear with Jeans and heels) a summer dress, a pair of driving gloves, 2 purses, 2 sweaters, and a suit jacket. I think I only spent about 120.00 bucks total! She gets new things in the store every day!
There is also a jukebox and a little stage, so I selected some snappy tunes and danced on the stage in my new duds. Robin is passionate about what she does and makes each and every client feel special. She also has fun evenings at the store from time to time, like wine tastings and special speakers. She had me give a talk to singles about dating, and sign books and she served wine and chocolate.
If you are anywhere close to Niwot, go in and say Hi to Robin and tell her I sent you.

Epic music! I am an 80’s junkie… but there’s plenty of options on the FREE juit box. Lots of funky items to play around with, form the vintage (sadly normally running in the smaller sizes) to everyday things or the glitz and glam. Need a party dress or a vintage inspired costume? Rockin’ Robin (the owner and creator of Rockin’Robins) is great and finding you something to fit the part… just ask and unless shes crazy busy, she’s more then happy to help.
Back in High school my friends and I would go ever week to play and chill, almost always finding something new we must have.
So grab some girlfriends… or guys who will have some fun and go make it a party!

I love thrift stores. Things people give away baffle me sometimes as I come to adore them. This place takes thrift to a whole new level by adding a fun and friendly atmosphere with people who definitely have an eye for fashion and fun. A great classic rock feel in the establishment mixed with crazy fashion from all decades makes this place a winner in my book

I can’t tell you how delighted I am EVERY time I shop at Rockin’ Robin’s. I always find something darling and unexpected for under $ 20. And best of all, you can bop while you shop to her jukebox. This is a must stop shop for vintage, retro and quality consignment for women. Check out the shoes and menswear too.

There are lots of great things about this store. I would go there more often if it wasn’t down the road in Niwot (a whole seven miles from here.) And yet, being in Niwot is part of its charm. So it’s worth pointing the car in that direction when you have the time.
Robin is a delightful hostess. We always chat it up. She always makes me and everyone feel welcome. There’s the little dance floor in front of the mirror and… there’s the jukebox. You can pick the music you’d like to shop to. (Hmmm, will it be Aerosmith, or Journey today?) There are great rock and roll posters, and sweaty pics of Steve Tyler. (fyi… Robin is his biggest fan.) Robin has created a community-​oriented website for the store. She sends out a weekly email link which includes fun pics of customers wearing the new clothes that came in this week. Very unique and fun.
I like to consign here because Robin has «vision» when she goes through your clothes… and unlike Rags, she will take what is cool even if it not what you would see in the mall this week. She likes what is funky and more interesting… not run of the mill. While Rags may comment, in their infinite wisdom, that «oh that just won’t sell… that’s not what people are shopping for», they WILL sell at Robins because they are indeed what women who want something a little more inspired ARE actually looking for. Robin knows this! So there are items I bring to Rags, and other items I bring to Robins.
I always find some happy additions to my wardrobe here. Some of my favorite wardrobe go-to’s are from her store… a great black leather vest, jeans with leather patches and studs down the side, a hip-​length woven summer cover-​up that looks great over a tank top. Her pricing is very fair. And Robin will often pull out some item I hadn’t noticed and say «this will look great on you.» And heck, she’s right.

Funky, funky, funky – and inexpensive and fun.
Everytime I drive or walk by, there is something fun on display, whether it be a Jane Eyre cape, a cigarette girl outfit, a tribute to Dale Evans, or a prom queen ensemble.
My daughter went to a friend’s 16^th birthday bash here and spent two hours snacking on munchies, trying on clothes, dancing to the juke box, and having a wonderful time.
Robin is the MC of just about all Niwot town events, and she rocks!

I’m not much of a shopper and only really go to a store when I really have to … and when that happens I bop into Rockin’ Robin’s in Niwot, Colorado. This clothing store is full of funky, quirky, high quality clothing that is fun to try on and wear. The store has a jukebox and plays whatever I want it to depending on my mood (ok, others can use it too but only after I finish with it.) Robin is enthusiastic, creative and can dress me like a queen (or a drag queen if I want). Going into that store is a place I take company so they can get a taste of down home charm. I’ve tried on some items she suggested and am amazed at the amount of times I continue to wear them. I need to say this … at Rockin’ Robin’s …Robin Rocks!

Rockin Robins is a fabulous place to shop for vintage clothes, accessories, costumes and consigned goods. The owner, Robin, is fun and enthusiastic. The prices are great and there is a juke box w/​dance floor and disco ball. Aside from the great shopping, it is a fun place to host a birthday party or girls’ night out. My friends and I celebrated my birthday here and shopped/​danced/​ate and had a great time!
