The ambiance of the restaurant is friendly, fun and inviting. Pans rattle in the kitchen, waitresses bustle back and forth, balancing three and four plates on their arms and customers call out to one another over strains of country music

History

Established in 2001.

My original plan was to become a professional chef. I obtained formal training at California Culinary Academy, but my «real» training took place in my Grand Mom and Mom’s Kitchen. Many of the recipes we use today at Cowgirl Café are from my Great Grand Mom’s trail cooking in Texas and Oklahoma. Our biscuits, gravy and sausage originated from my Grandma Dodd’s «covered wagon» style cooking.

In 1978, I started my own catering company, and over the course of the next fifteen years until 1993 my wife, Meredith and I built «Maddy’s Catering». Business Owner

Many people have been a major part of our success. My family consists of my mom Mary and dad Chuck along with all the dedicated Cowgirl employees and managers. And, of course, we can’t forget our wonderful customers, as they are the reason for our success. I believe in a «team approach» and because of that I am offering the opportunity for others to be a part of our family. Some call it «Franchise», but we call it «Family-Chise». Customer service, attention to detail in the restaurant and family fun is a big part of what we are all about. We are taking a systems approach to our expansion and businesses — systems run business and people run systems. Cowgirl Café is growing and franchising will help make Cowgirl Café a well recognized brand throughout the west.

We are dedicated to providing you and your family with the best tasting Down Home Cook’n. We hope to see you real soon!
