Terrible experience, called the store and asked if an item is available before going there, once I got there the item was not available

This store deserves no stars! They’re our department screwed up my frames and their Pharmacy is beyond belief awful and horrid. Please see the letter below I wrote to the Market Manager of the pharmacy:
I was a customer in your Niles pharmacy store on Golf Road. Just to start, my doctor sent my prescription to your store on a Thursday which I went to pick up at your store. I get there that Sunday Which was 3 days later and about 2 weeks ago to find out that you do not have it. On top of that, the girl behind the counter lied to me and said that somebody called me which they didn’t because there was no voicemails left or missed calls and I’m near my phone like no tomorrow due to business. John, the pharmacist on duty started calling every store in town including the Niles store on Touhy while I stood there for 15 minutes to find out that you didn’t have it at all. I clearly told him to cancel it out of your system so I can go somewhere else. I called my doctor and told him about the situation he told me that was very strange because it’s a common prescription Med. so I sent my prescription over to my local CVS to find out that you guys ended up filling it without telling me at your Niles store on Touhy. Because you guys held up my prescription, the CVS store could not fill my order because my insurance wouldn’t let it because of you guys. The next day and mind you another wasted day, I called your store on Touhy and spoke with the most horrid woman named Sedra. She claims the med will not be available for another day. I told her she needs call my insurance company and let them know that so I can go somewhere else and instead she talked to me like I am the dumbest woman in the world and she was unprofessional and rude. I’m a woman with an MBA and I was also a retail store manager. All of this is completely unacceptable!!! Anyway, it turned out you filled it at the Niles store on Golf Road now after all that aggravation another couple days later. I spoke with your Pharmacy manager and he was very nice. However he seemed to try and bribe me. He Said that he can talk to you for me and that he would give me a $ 15 gift card. I said well I want to talk to you myself. He then said that he can’t give me the gift card. I thought that was super screwed up because the next day he called and checked on me because he told me he informed you of all this after all. in addition you guys also screw up my allergy med before but I let that one go. The hell you guys put me through to get this med and the fact that I have to wait an additional week and a half for healing is not acceptable. The carelessness that you shown will be poinedi out to everybody in your target market. Not only am I pulling all my prescriptions but I am telling everyone what you guys did to me. I know there’s nothing you can do to make this up to me because Walmart has a bad rap like Craigslist. I should have known in the first place! It’s too bad that you’re losing all my business because you made a lot of money from me. You guys are horrible people and a horrid company.

This is the worst Walmart I have ever visited.
Right when you walk in you see just rags and napkins all over the floor from an attempted spill clean up. Besides the overall scummy atmosphere we have poor placement of products, the lack of service or anyone with any braincells with a Walmart shirt walking around this establishment to show you where something is, and old rotten produce.
I only come in this store for shipping boxes otherwise I recommend to avoid this place at all costs. Get what you need and leave as fast as you can.

It’s a well operated and organized Walmart. I’ve been to many Walmarts it’s laid pretty much the same way most Super Centers are laid out. I found everything I was looking for and it was nice shopping at this location.

I always come here because of their price. It does help the family budget. I went to pick up about 20 items today, headed to a cashier (I usually use the self-​service). The cashier was very nice & friendly, BUT I checked my items & the receipt when I got home & realized that she scanned an item that wasn’t in bags. I check a couple times & I am 1 item short.
I suggest if you are paying for your groceries, to make sure you count your items & check your receipt right away as soon as it’s handed to you. The number of items you paid for is always at the bottom of the receipt. Then check the spinning bag holder and make sure you are handed all your bags. Never rush or you’ll end up wondering what happened!
One star for a good deal on camisoles for my daughter for $ 1.68 each

I like this store because its open ²⁴⁄₇ besides that this Walmart store seems to be no different than the other Walmart store I go to around the area. I usually go here for the 5 gallon mineral water which they don’t seem to run out of as much as the other walmart stores in my area so one good thing!

Everyone seems to hate Walmart and I’ll admit, it’s never really nice inside. But at the end of the day, they’ve got the best prices. And I always end up regretting that I overpaid at a CVS or Walgreens knowing very well that I could’ve saved so much if I just made myself go down to Walmart.
But this Walmart is always a mess. It smells funny. And the employees just seem a little slow. Not mean, just slow. You’ve pretty much got to know what you’re there to get and go find it or get it yourself.
In regards to returns, just know that they have special hours for that. If you’re not there before 10pm, it’s too late to return that day. I thought this was odd but I’ve gotten used to it.

I love this Walmart. Convenient with them being open ²⁴⁄₇ I can shop at anytime. Sometimes I go late night or early morning to avoid the crowded parking

Garbage service. Product are never in the right spots to know if it’s the correct amount. Then when you go to the return service department ladies there talking in their own language «Assyrian». Told her to return my money back on to my card her response is I already did it cash back… Soooo??? I didn’t want cash back, I wanted it back onto my card. Uneducated people.

Walked in around 1030pm looking to buy a video game, only to learn that they don’t actually have the key to open the display case. After many attempts by the worker, the key they had would not open the case. Never coming back for my technology needs again

Dare I say that this is the friendliest Walmart that I have been to in a long time? The employees were smiling and friendly. I had a very nice conversation with the smiling cashier. I have always preferred this store over the one on the other side of town on Touhy. Even though that location is going to be the closest to me, I will do what I can to avoid going there.
This store tends to be well organized and clean. I have never had issues with messy shelves or rude customers. It still is Walmart, but at least it is a fairly pleasant store.

Long wait times and 2 registers with employees goofing around and joking. Only come here late at night when it’s slow.

This place is mass. The other day I went to buy baby formula and asked one worker if he can find manager or anybody from baby department so I can check formula availability and his response was simply «I don’t speak English»! Really??? Why are you on the floor than?! I don’t understand how this place is such a mass and functions like that. Every time I go there I just get annoyed by stupidity and careless management and workers.

I’m here right now to return one item I bought… been waiting for about 10 minutes and got only half way through the line which is reaching the door and there is only one employee working at the register. It’s not her fault! They’ve been underemployed since they’ve opened and I don’t know why they don’t hire more workers.
By the way, all my friends who work here say the management treats them like crap.

0 STARS! This is the most awful, slow and work free Walmart. The lines are long, only a few registers open, and the cashiers are working as if there on the Bahamas. Terrible service and very slow place!

I don’t get the hate some people have for this location, so I’ll also write a review in defense of it. If you think this location stinks, then you probably have never shopped at the Wal-​Mart on Touhy Ave., north of Village Crossing Shopping Center. This is night and day better, vs. that Touhy Ave. location. And I only visit the latter location, as a last resort if I can’t find an item anywhere else, or out of reluctant convenience. This Golf/​Milwaukee Supercenter is ²⁴⁄₇ to boot like all other Wal-​Mart Supercenters, so another great plus for this location.
And for whatever funny reason, it’s one of the rare places (besides Meijer in Niles) I’ve managed to find Rice Krispies Treats Cereal at. So it definitely deserves some kudos for that!

One of the worst Walmart’s around. It’s a shame because it’s one of the newer locations at less than 10 years old but it’s a hot mess. Always super busy even when the weather is horrible. It’s one of the most messy & disorganized Walmarts I’ve ever been to. Plus they are not well stocked at all. Things are everywhere if they are there at all. I went in for a few items and could only find one of my 5 items.
It’s sad because this location used to be great but looking over their reviews, all recent feedback is garnering this location 1 – 2 stars. I hadn’t gone for a couple years as I no longer live in the area… and after my most recent visit, I have no plans to ever go back.
The customer service ladies were super nice & quick though.

Holy crap one star galore. This Walmart is not that bad. It’s perfectly average. I don’t know why, but somehow I make my way out here more often than I realize… Of course, it’s the usual Walmart price for the usual Walmart quality crap you get, but if you need to go, you go. It’s not horrible. Well, I guess if you just generally hate Walmart, you might hate this one too. If you generally find Walmart acceptable, I don’t think this one is any worse than usual.
It’s not badly organized. Open ²⁴⁄₇. Convenient. Stuff are stocked. If you go at night, you actually run into everyone stocking the store and very few people running around. Very calm environment to do whatever browsing you need. Definitely a clusterfuck during the day on the weekend though, from the only time I went during this time.
The only thing to be watchful about is right before midnight (not sure how long before midnight) or so, there’s only one register open and a bunch of people lined up, and self check out is closed for some stupid reason, and it’s a pain. If you wanna stop by for alcohol, go WELL before 11:50pm because many times chances are you won’t make it to the line in time. After it turns 12AM the self check out lines magically open. WHY is this like this -.-;
