Business Owner

Dr. Brett Gilbert received his D.D.S. and Certificate of Endodontics from the University of Maryland. Dr. Gilbert has a private practice limited to Endodontics in Niles, Illinois. He is currently on faculty in the Department of Endodontics at the University of Illinois at Chicago, College of Dentistry and on staff at Resurrection Medical Center in Chicago. Dr. Gilbert is a Diplomate of the American Board of Endodontics and lectures nationally and internationally on clinical endodontics.

I have had a few root canals by Dr. Gilbert in the last couple of years. Prior to Dr. Gilbert I went to Dr, King. When I heard Dr. King retired I was truly upset. But I was reassured how good Dr. Gilbert was. All I could do was trust at this point. All I can say is Dr. Gilbert is very compassionate, gentle, and positively the BEST. I am extremely clausterphobic and he is so very patient and kind with my requests. It’s important for me to have a doctor who understands my needs. He takes the time to make sure I understand everything he is going to do and why it needs to get done. Everyone at their office is truly very kind. I am very thankful for the kindness, professionalism, and knowledge of Dr. Gilbert

I hesitate to ever describe any dental procedure as «pleasurable», but this is as close as you can get. I have had 2 root canals with Dr. Gilbert, and have been beyond impressed each time. They take time to explain what is happening, immediately address any discomfort (which was extremely minimal), and the after care they offer (follow up phone calls and appointments) show that they truly want to do the job well, and they have a deep level of respect for their patients. Dr. Gilbert is fantastic, his staff is caring, and the entire procedure was completed with minimal disruption to your life. Quick, easy, and as painless as possible!

Dr. Gilbert is an excellent Endodontist. I recently had surgery and I had to take care of some dental issues beforehand. Dr. Gilbert handled the entire matter. He and his staff were extremely patient and professional throughout the process. I highly recommend Dr. Gilbert as well as his staff.

Dr Gilbert is absolutely THE BEST at what he does! I’ve had two root canals in my lifetime. The first done at another location by another dentist was nothing short of horrible. Pain! Horrible pain! So, when I was told that I would need a second root canals a few years later, I just about died. Fortunately, they referred me to King Endodontics. Dr Gilbert talked to me for a bit before beginning the procedure, listened to my concerns, and reassured me he would take the best care of me. My procedure was done in two sessions. He even called and emailed to check on me and make sure everything was going well. He is the nicest dentist and made me feel very comfortable. The procedure was PAINLESS with him. That alone is worth more than 5 stars! Dr Gilbert is HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

i have gone to king endo. previously for a root canal and they were wonderful. i needed an emergency root canal this time because i was leaving to go out of town on a business trip for a week and was in terrible pain, they got me in right away and did an awesome job!!!

they did my root canal, had a problem, and the dentist did not listen when i told him, now its been only 6 mth and i have to get the tooth pulled, and i paid for a crown that i would have not had put on my tooth if he would have just lisened in the first place. its just like i flush 2000.00 $ down the toilet.

I am absolutely terrified and go into a panic about painful dental procedures. Dr. Gilbert and his staff were outstanding in dealing with my anxiety. I can not recommend him more highly. The procedure went well. If anyone ever asks me for an endodontist recommendation I will not hesitate to INSIST they call Dr. Gilbert.

Just began an emergency root canal here with Dr. Gilbert. His office squeezed me in– I was throwing up at work due to the intense pain, and they were booked all afternoon. Boy am I glad they did! I’m already feeling much better! Dr. Gilbert was very personable and explained everything nicely before he began working. I must’ve been a mess, and I know it’s really hard to be put at ease when in that much pain, but he did.
The office is very lovely and relaxing. I didn’t get much attitude from the front desk or from his assistants. As someone who is (for some unknown reason) terrified of dentists and the like, I did not feel too anxious here, which is a big plus.
I’ll update at the completion of my treatment, but so far, so very good!

Dr. King has been doing my family’s root canals for some time. Not only is he good at it, but he is also very personable and explains everything. His costs are pretty much average for this type of work. The office is nice, his staff is friendly, and there is very convenient parking.
While never having any work done by Dr. Gilbert, he did give perform one of my follow-​up evaluations, and he was also very friendly.

So, I had to get a root canal. FML, right? Well, not really.
Dr. Gilbert was really amazing. Not only was he professional, thorough, and an all-​around nice guy, but he made the process nearly painless! A few pinches here and there, and ladies and gentlemen… I had a root canal.
Now, if you ever have to get one (though I dont wish that upon anyone), this is the man you go to. He makes a real effort to make you feel completely comfortable and I can’t even begin to tell you what a difference that makes.
