Toyota On Nicholasville

This review is only for the Service Department. I didn’t purchase my Toyota here, but my experience with Service here makes it likely that this is where I’ll buy my next one.
I love that I can schedule my appointment online and even select the service advisor that I already know and am comfortable with. The waiting area has free water bottles, TV, comfortable chairs, and WiFi. There’s also a small café and coffee bar (although I’ve noticed it’s closed at random times for no apparent reason). The services are reasonably priced compared to independent shops in my experience, and there’s a points program for service that lets you earn money toward a new car here.
If you have a Toyota in the Lexington area and you’re looking for the place to come for service, this is it.

I saved over $ 3000 from Toyota on Nicholasville’s «best price» on our 4Runner by driving to Oxmoor Toyota in Louisville. The service here is pretty good. Rick Smith is very helpful as well as Tim Leighton has been great to deal with over the years.

Excellent dealership with a very friendly, customer oriented sales staff. I highly recommend this dealership. Wonderful people.

Be careful, when dealing with this dealership they have a communication problem between themselves. I had a deposit down on a used FJ, which I agreed to pay asking price. I scheduled a flight and got financing via their dealership. Get a call two days later, they already sold the vehicle, which I had a deposit on and got financing for (not to mention a hard inquiry on my credit). Their excuse, there are so many employees here they can’t keep track of who is selling what from their inventory. I find that very hard to believe, one vehicle that your internet sales agent is finalizing a deal on, gets swept up from another employee.

I bought my first Toyota used from Toyota on Nicholasville in 1998. My experience then wasn’t great, but it was ok. The car has been solid though, and I recently went back to buy a new Toyota. Alas, the customer service at Toyota at Nicholasville has largely been truly horrible. While I did encounter some nice salespeople, even they didn’t return calls or inquiries. Unlike the local Honda dealership which sent a followup note, called, AND emailed, T on N didn’t seek my business. I had one particularly unprofessional and awful salesman who was downright rude. Unlike Kia, Honda, and other Toyota dealerships I called in my search who focused on «we want your business… if we don’t have want you want we will try to get it for you», T on N was constantly –no matter what model I looked at– «oh, we don’t have many of these… you better take what we have». The definite impression is «we are doing you a favor» rather than «thank you for your patronage».
The straw that broke the camel’s back has been my recent interaction with them. I called on a vehicle to get a price. Because Toyota is currently rolling in sales from the Cash for Clunkers program, I was told twice –first by the rude salesperson and secondly by a nicer one who called back after I complained of their customer service –that «we normally would make some deals on the price, but not now.» In other words, because they are benefiting from my tax dollars, all their talk of building a relationship with the customer …of price sales cars… of quality customer service… are out the door if they can make a larger profit ripping people off by charging the full sticker price.
I found dealers in Frankfort, Dry Ridge, and elsewhere quoted me the same car at $ 1000-​$ 2000 lower just in initial negotiations… PLUS, they were far more cordial and nice.
I cannot emphasize enough how I would urge people to seek a more reputable dealer who works with repeat customers and provides courteous, professional service. Toyota on Nicholasville definitely does NOT.
