Description

Specialties

Our funeral home provides personal service to each family we serve. We truly believe that in treating people the way we would want to be treated is the only way for the family owned funeral home to compete in today’s business world. We personally care for the families that we service and try to create a home enviorment. Understanding the special needs of each family and helping them plan a way to pay tribute to the life of their loved one is an important part of our mission should they choose a traditional funeral or should they choose cremation there is a life that should be honored.

History

Established in 2003.

Our firm was the original Guyn, Kurtz & Hager Funeral Home started by Judge Quyn who died in the 1950’s. Bailey S. Kurtz became a parterner and at a later date Elesteen Hager became a partner. Ronald L. Cundiff and his wife Diann came into the busniess in 1973 with Elesteen Hager and eventually bought Mr. Kurtz’s part of the funeral home and Ron and Diann are the owners at this time. Elesteen Hager died in 2005. We are located in the building that was purchased by Judge Guyn and Mr. Kurtz in the early 30’s from a floundering Knights of Pithia organization. We proudly are the oldest funeral home in Jessamine County.

Meet the Business Owner

Diann C.

Business Owner

I have been involved in our business since 1973 as at that time we supplied our county with ambulance service. I have acted as a dispatcher and bookkeeper along with many other facets of the funeral business. It is not uncommon to find me shoveling snow, running the sweeper or cleaning floors between meeting with families to make funeral arrangements either for immediate need or for pre planning. I am honored to be chosen to help pay tribute to the life of a loved one and have become Kentucky’s first Certified Celebrant. I am very passionate about sharing stories that have become memories of a family.
