ONE 20 is a 75 seat modern bistro, featuring simple fare with a modern culinary twist. You can feel comfortable enjoying brunch on a Sunday after church, or a quick executive business lunch meeting with a client. Maybe a romantic evening with your special someone or just a excuse to take to family out for dinner. ONE 20 features culinary treasure’s from Chef Pettis’ southern upbringing as well as his worldly travels and of course you will find his ever present Southeast Asian and Japanese influences.

History

Established in 2009.

In the fall of 2009 Chef Pettis opened «One 20 a Modern Bistro» his very own restaurant. One 20 is a culmination of Chef Dan’s world travels and expeiences. Seeing a gap in the market for upscale dining in Niceville Chef Dan brought his culinary talents to the North Bay area.

Meet the Business Owner

Dan P.

Business Owner

Born and raised on the Emerald Coast of Northwest Florida, Dan began his cooking career at the young age of 13 with a summer job just before 9th grade. Working under Destin, Florida’s most prominent chef, Tim Creehan, sparked the fire that made him realize that this was his calling. Dan decided to attend the Florida Culinary Institute in West Palm Beach where he finished on the President’s List. Dan was discovered by Chef Roy Villacrusis, of «Mark’s» Restaurants, Pettis was entrusted the role of executive sous chef. In 2005 Dan became the Corporate Executive Chef for Creehan Restaurant Group. In October 2007 Chef Pettis expanded his realm of expertise to the international market, he traveled to New Zealand to open a project for a local investor, The Old Church Restaurant and Bar was opened in November of 2007 under the direction of Chef Pettis. He Returned from New Zealand, and became a Culinary Consultant for a number of local restaurants. Until Returning home to open One 20.
