Ive been here a few times over the past few years. Its just off the thruway at the same exit as the Outlet Mall. Its not my fav Home Depot, but its done well in a pinch a few times. Parking here can be hit or miss, depends on what time you go. I have a hard time finding things at this HD location, and also finding staff who are able to help. However, like all HDs it does carry many things, and if you have time you will likely find what you came for. Maybe a few other things too, since you may wander around looking for what you came for. You know how that goes, you end up finding things you didn’t plan on buying.

Two sides of the employees there, either they have a great knowledge and know how or they should be flipping burgers instead. Pro desk people are great when you develop a working relationship with then. Patty at Niagara Falls Blvd store is awesome, great to work with, knowledgeable, and always one step ahead. Cheektowaga store sucks. Elmwood is alright.

I’m going to say upfront that the actual installers were very nice, prompt, polite, cleaned up after themselves and did a good job. However, that doesn’t excuse the absolute disaster that led to this, which I’ll outline below. Absolutely awful experience trying to buy carpet for my basement stairs. I went in with a sample of the carpet I was trying to match(we bought a house that had stairs without carpet, but the actual basement was). We were able to match the carpet pretty close. The employee helped me figure out a general quote based on my measurements, though an actual person would have to come out and measure for the install. The employee felt his quote was on the high side, but wanted to be safe. I had to pay a non-refundable down payment to have someone come out and measure the stairs I’d already measured. The guy measured the stairs — then I got a call with the quote the next day. The amount of fees and charges for the stairs is ridiculous — and higher than what I was quoted in the store. First there’s an installation fee, then a charge per stair on top of the fee. Then they wanted to charge me another $ 75 just to have them pick up the carpet they’re installing from their own store. I elected to pick it up myself to avoid that fee. I asked to pay ahead of time so I just had to pick up the carpet and was told I couldn’t do that — and I couldn’t schedule a date until I bought the carpet. Oh — and get this — the tax I paid on the down payment isn’t credited toward the purchase of the carpet. My fiancé went to pick up the carpet and the employee there immediately started arguing with him about not needing a carpet pad when you carpet stairs. He said you don’t typically do that — which is actually not true. Then they said they don’t sell carpet padding at the quote I was given — only in rolls over twice the amount. I called the service line back to find out that the installer brings the carpet pad(no one told me that — I was told I had to pick up all materials to avoid a $ 75 fee) — and that they should’ve let me pay on the phone the previous day and the carpet would be cut and waiting for pick up. She tried to call the store to sort it out, but the store kept hanging up on her every time she called. So now my fiancé goes to try to pay for the carpet with my Home Deport card and it keeps coming up as an error, even though I’d just used the card for the down payment. He stood there for more than 15 minutes and no one could figure out how to pay for the carpet. We finally got the carpet home and then waited several days for them to call to schedule the actual install. As stated above, the install was the smoothest part of the process. I will never buy anything that requires installation from Home Depot again. Never.

Went to get some paint and the heavy set woman gave a very dirty look and was extremely rude to me we were being nice but when a guy walked up to her she was flirting and laughing with him going to notify manager this is not he way to treat customers

I’ve been to this store several times and have found the staff to be knowledgeable and friendly. On my most recent visit in search of a replacement washer hose, I was greeted at the door and then wandered inside looking at the electric fireplace heaters and meandering down the aisle. An employee walking up behind me asked if I would like some help finding something. I showed him the attachment piece for the hose that I had brought with me, and he quickly escorted me to the correct department and turned me over to someone who could help me further. The second gentlemen looked at my attachment, took me directly to the exact hose I needed, even opened the package for me to make sure it fit properly, and asked if there was anything else I needed help with. The experience was very pleasant, and as I walked to the register I saw the first gentleman who had helped me. I thanked him and said that I had found exactly what I needed. He smiled and said«I apologize for the convenience.» Indeed. Thank you again.

Shopping here is a crap-shoot. There are some associates that are knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. Then there are some that would be better paid to not show up. Overall HD has anything one could need in their area. Unfortunately I have found this location out of, or not able to locate, stock too many times.
