While visiting Niagra Falls, we wanted to try a local restaurant for breakfast. We were extremely pleased with our choice of The Sunshine Café. The food was delicious and the service was friendly. We give this establishment two thumbs up!

When you visit Niagara Falls don’t miss having breakfast here. Super friendly place. Real, delicious, down home cooking. Makes me want to fly back across the country to have breakfast here again. Not to mention the great, budget friendly prices.

Very small, family owned restaurant. We were leaving Niagara Falls after getting engaged and wanted to try some local food. The people there were nice and it was good to hear how the locals are. I could tell many had been going there a long time. Great service and the breakfast was hot, fresh and delicious. We will definitely return on future visits to the Falls.

Came here late Saturday morning and the place was not that busy. The place has about 7 tables and a counter to sit at. Décor was old school and was pretty clean. The female server greeted us and placed the paper place-mat menus on our table and asked us if we want coffee. We gladly accepted and she came with a couple of cups. The coffee was not bad. There were mini creams in a small bowl on our table already. The menu has many breakfast items that are reasonably priced such as bacon/eggs/toast for $ 4.99, which I ordered. It took about 20 minutes for the breakfast to be prepared which seemed a bit long, but it arrived hot. The eggs were good and the bacon and toast pretty good too. Our coffee cups were topped up by the server. All in all this was a decent place for breakfast.

We have been coming here for about 3 years. It feels like coming home. Lisa, the owner makes you feel so special and will make you anything you want. All the breakfasts are amazing. We have had lunch and dinner there as well, and never disappointed.

We’ve tried a lot of breakfast places in the area looking for the right one. With good food, good prices and good service we did with this place. We’ll be back to get awesome diner breakfast food.

A big thank you to the Routhier family I forgot my cash and without worries they let me run and get some. This diner/café is family run. The customers are typically the locals but they treat the visitors just fine. I got a fresh blueberry waffle and the«mixer» which is potatoes peppers onions eggs and meat mixed together and served with toast. Everything was delish and filling! My leftovers made for a great midday snack. There was no big wait on my food and they kept the coffee flowing. Thanks again! TIP: Bring Cash for check out they don’t accept cards

Excellent place of you want to wait 30 minutes(two other customers on the place) for a pathetic breakfast. Pale white pancakes should have gone in the trash, which is where I think my scrambled eggs were scrapped from. So much awful in such a tired old place, on a sketchy neighborhood.

Great local, family run eatery! Our group of 7 showed up for a late brunch in our way to the airport and were quickly greeted & seated. We ordered coffee(freshly made), eggs, waffles, pancakes, corn hash, roast beef sandwiches, meat specials, & a veggie omelette. All was so yummy! Wish we lived closer. This would be a regular place for us.

Customer service was good but food sucked. Disappointment. The pancakes were thick and dry. They looked like something I would make at home on a bad pancake turn out day. The sausage was good. The French toast was good but the eggs with cheese came with a sliced cheese on top eww.

Really good breakfast and friendly, fast service. Stopped in before the falls and was glad we did. Home fries were perfect as was the huge western omelet. Coffee was fresh and strong. If I am ever in the area again, I will definitely go back.

I really want to give this place a makeover. Aside from the dull uninspired interior, my meat lovers breakfast was pretty good and the orange juice was delicious. Very few tables, couple of booths and a few seats at the counter. Definately not a destination spot, though they do deliver and I just might like to have breakfast delivered to my door ! Service not especially quick, but friendly and my waitress did talk me out of the Atkins breakfast for its lack of flavor which I appreciated.

Really good food. Friendly service. And a diner atmosphere. I had the French toast with bacon which I really enjoyed, they put a lot of sugar and cinnamon on it which I like but it may have been over the top for some… The only problems I had were they didn’t have maple syrup only Mrs. Butter-worth’s. & the bacon was a too thin, dry and crispy. My gf had the hungry man and we enjoyed it as well, the pancakes are good size and thickness and very tasty! Especially with my leftover cinnamon-sugar-syrup mix!

Sunshine Café is a really homey neighbourhood restaurant for breakfast or brunch. The interior does feel a little messy and need a little scrub down. The deco is totally retro as I doubt they have any renovation since they opened. Make sure you check out their daily special on the chalkboard. My Apple Stuffed French Toast was light and filling. If you are looking for some home made goodness, give Sunshine Café a try. Service was friendly and laid back. So it may not be a good option if you are in a rush. Cash Only!

I give this place 2 stars because I would have given it 4 if the service would have been better. My husband and I stopped by this local brunch spot on the way home from Niagara Falls. We wanted a quick brunch that wouldn’t take up too much time and we like to support local businesses so we thought, this small local joint would be a quick in and out. Boy were we wrong. It took 15 mins to place our order and over 50 mins get our food. When we got there the place was half full. It’s a cute place with a homey feel. They didn’t seem busy inside but then they started doing a bunch of take out orders. Four tables came in after us and they ALL got our food before us!!! If you were local and they knew you, you got your food quicker. The waitress was very nice, however took her at least 5 mins to acknowledge our presence when we got there and never even apologized that it took so long for our food to arrive. We ordered eggs and pancakes!!! How long could that possibly take??! When I heard the chef say that she was gonna start our order 50 mins after we ordered I wanted to get up and leave because every other order got done before ours. And it really only took 5 mins to make. I understand they were busy with take out orders, but you would think that the two person party that only ordered eggs and a pancake would get served before they spent 40 mins doing a large delivery order or every other order that came in after ours. It would have been different if we ordered a complicated menu item but it was literally eggs and pancakes. The food was good and tasty and the portions were decent and it was cheap but needless to say on my next trip out this way I will not be coming back.
