Hertz Rent A Car

While my car was being repaired I received a rental. I opted to buy a full tank of gas at their discounted price. However, when I returned the car I had not used the full tank and still had 250 miles to go before empty. I explained to the clerk that I had made an error in judgement and had too much gas leftover and asked if I could be refunded in some way. He said «No, that is not our policy.» and pointed to a sign on the wall that stated no refunds on the gas. I was getting upset because I did not see the sign when I registered to obtain a vehicle and I was not warned about it either. I said the rental agent should have warned me in advance. He said it is the customer’s job to ask questions if they want more info. This made me very upset because their price was almost $ 45 for a tankful and so I lost money as I only used a quarter tank of gas. I told the guy I would never use them again.

If you are not flying from Allegiant airlines and have booked your rental from here, you might consider not heading here and instead go to their location at military drive. Of course we didnt know abt this till we got to the location and had to wait for another taxi to pick us up and drop us off here. Fuming, I had to be told by «Nathan» to be «not rude» when he is quoting us on a car for $ 398 when we booked it for $ 197!!! Your bravado is embarrasing!!!

Awful service, not only would they not respond quickly to my wife and i in the building the phone was ringing off the hook and they made that more of a priority than helping us. After sitting at the desk for 15 minutes, the guy then said, «we have to go pick up your car it isn’t here.» I am a gold member, close this location this is hurting business.

I do not recommend renting a car at this location. We booked our reservation weeks in advance, walked in and the customer service was terrible. Not enough people were here so it took a while between phone calls and other stuff to even get the attendant to help us. He then looked our names up and realized the car was not here and ready for us, so he had to drive off just to go get it somewhere ten minutes away. Hertz has been great in the past, I just do not recommend this location at all. We are welcome to wait in the hot office, in two chairs available among all the cobwebs. Bad service & not a clean or comfortable place to wait.

Why even bother ?
The only scheduled flight into IAG on a Saturday arrives at 1pm. These useless idle fuckwit layabouts close at 12 noon. Completely useless. Do they not want customers? What is the point of having a supposed «airport» location (although this one in fact claims to be but is not) when you deliberatly decline to offer service to the only «airport» customers you’re likely to have? Serious service fail, Hertz.

If you think you’ll get the usual great Hertz service, think again. The fact that this is a mile away from the airport is inconvenient enough. When we arrived, we had to take a taxi to go pick up the car because it’s after their hours. That wasn’t too bad, and I did it with eyes wide-​open, knowing I have to incur the extra cost. Little did I think that, upon return, I’d have to call a cab as well. The lone employee there said he can’t drop me off (even if he didn’t have anything to do all the time I was there. He was totally unhelpful and unconcerned. When I waited and waited, and there’s still no cab, I had to beg him to call again. The cab took more than 20 minutes to arrive. Never again. Caveat Emptor, potential renters!
