Urban Allure Salon & Spa

Love Urban Allure! Especially Lori! The staff is so warm and welcoming. I’m big on last minute decisions to get my hair done… I’ve asked to be put on a list if Lori gets an opening and somehow it always works out. Lori and her team also did everyone’s hair and makeup for my daughter’s wedding a couple years ago coming directly to the venue where the wedding was held to take care of everyone’s needs. It was perfect!

I’ve been a NAC member for many years and this was the first time I used the spa. It was a great experience! I had my hair done by Andy & he was awesome! I also had the best hair wash ever! Mercedes rocks!
Not only will you be pampered no matter what service you’re receiving, you can relax even more knowing your kids are being taken care of in the Kids Club by Jessie and her wonderful staff. You don’t need to be a member to use the Salon and you don’t need to be a member to have your kids in the Kids Club while you use the Spa. Of course, if you aren’t a member of the NAC… you are missing out on the best gym in the area!

My blow dry was hurried and I left still damp at the roots– so my hair felt flat and frizzy soon after leaving.
The end sneaky cost–
So my reason for the two stars is I told multiple people I didn’t want a hair trim or cut. The girl I first scheduled with, when I checked in when they asked again if I wanted a cut with my service and the three times to my stylist.
She keep asking then finally said, what if I just clean up a few pieces, as if doing me a favor. Finally exasperated with this question” I said ok sure but really just a clean up I’m growing it and wasn’t planning on a cut“
She barely took the dead ends of in a swipe at the bottom before pulling it all to check it. I said ok.
After getting my things together to leave iwas so happy with my experience. I had been texting 5 other recent transplant to princeton moms that we had finally found our place–
When I got to the front I saw the break down the stylist had written– 65 for my root color 25 for blow dry (I think) but honestly I was shocked to see 70.00 hair cut. I was totally turned off by this– I felt as if this was a very sneaky thng to do– I came from Boston and often get my hair done in phillynor NYC– it wasn’t the cost I cared about– it was that I had said multiple times I didn’t want a cut and she finally talked me in to it like she was doing me a quick favor. Not adding a 70 service for what looked like no hair on the ground .
I don’t know if I’ll return just for this reason– which is really sad as before this I was pretty excited about this.

Just wanted to say I enjoyed my first visit to Urban Allure Salon so much. I came in to get my hair done by my amazing hair stylist Jessieanne. I’d follow her anywhere but I’m very happy she chose such a great Salon. You all were so welcoming & I really enjoyed my visit. From the moment I walked in the door I was greeted with a smile & a very friendly welcome from everyone who was near. I got the best shampoo ever from Mercedes & of course thanks to Jessieanne my hair looks fabulous! :) I would highly recommend this amazing Salon to all. I alreday told my friends & famly, who are now excited for their first visits. Thank you again to everyone at Urban Allure for making me feel welcome & showing how much you truly care about your clients.

Urban Allure is my new go-​to Salon & Spa. In the time since we joined the NAC, I’ve tried the following services: Haircut, Brow Wax, 2 different types of Facial, and Sports Massage. My daughter has also had her hair cut there and got a feather extension too! You do not need to be a member to go there, but if you are, there are some perks. You can grab a robe upstairs, go workout, swim, or enjoy the sauna and then enter the spa from the locker room! Or just sit in the café or member lounge and have some coffee and read or use the wifi before your treatment.
The staff in the spa are very nice and accommodating. They seem to run on-​time and I have never been stuck waiting very long. They do book up and same day appointments can be tough to get, but there hours are excellent if you book in advance. I think their prices are good and they even had a Living Social voucher once. I love this place!
