GNC in Newtown is a nutrition store specializing in vitamins, minerals, herbs and sports nutrition. In addition to innovative GNC brand formulas, we carry most national brands. At this location we also carry fantastic skin care products. We have been serving the Newtown community for over 17 years and we are family owned and operated.

History

Established in 1996.

As one of the first certified personal trainers in the area, I found that I had a passion for health and fitness. Upon doing continuing education classes to maintain my personal training certification, I found I enjoyed studying natural products and supplementation as an alternative or adjunct to drug therapy. I became passionate about all the new products coming to market and the wider acceptance of these natural alternatives. My husband Jeffrey and I bought our first GNC in 1994. I had my personal training gym in the back of the store. We then bought this current location in 1996 and we have been operating it and serving Newtown and the surrounding communities ever since.

Manager

Bernie came to work for us back in 1998. He began as a sales associate and worked his way up to manager back in 2001. He uses many supplements himself, and is an advocate of a healthy lifestyle. He is extremely knowledgable about supplementation and he can help customers understand what to take depending on the condition, and how to use the products.
