This State Street location has been home to handmade custom designs since 1980. History

Established in 1980.

2 South State Street, The Paxton Croasdale Building built in 1853 is the current location of Countryside Gallery & Custom Frame Design.

This building was the center of Newtown’s commercial activities, housing dry goods stores, the First National Bank, and several lodges. During the Civil War, the front of the third floor was used exclusively for the making of infantry topcoats by women of the community. This building also housed Hutchenson’s railway express buisness (1863 – 1897) & Newtown’s Electric Street Railroad Co. (1897 – 1923), where trolley and taxi tickets were sold. The trolley stopped at this intersection every day on its route, making this building the first place many people saw during their visits to Newtown.

With 30 years combined framing experience Countryside Gallery & Custom Frame Design is your destination for all custom framing needs. Our gallery offers an extensive selection of local Bucks County artists and craftsmen.

Meet the Business Owner

Richard F.

Business Owner

I have hair, two eyes, and a job I love. I enjoy music, movies, books, shows, camping, horseback riding, painting, drawing, sculpture, yoga, sushi, and everything else trendy. Some things I have but don’t use as much as I should. They are my weights, cookbooks, tools, knowledge of HTML, passport, and common sense. I am turned on by confident woman, uniforms, and small import cars. I am turned off by people who take longer to get ready than I do, smell better, and have more shoes. I am kind and caring, but I am rebellious — I park on driveways, drive on parkways, drink Manhattans in Miami, wear white in the winter, & eat past nine o’clock. I need more money, less free time, and three more wishes.
