Narberth store: This place was the BEST before Masterpeices took over. I had the exact same experience that the others have had as far as the manager being RUDE. The messed up my order a few times with what pictures were to be framed, the pricing, then the Groupon debacle. He told me to order 4 Groupons when I was there to make my purchase as I had 4 pictures to be framed. I needed 1 picture swapped for a frame I had purchased when it was Southwind Studios. That frame was no longer available so I had to purchase other frames which were BEYOND ridiculously expensive. I told him when I was there to pick up the items just now that the picture still in the frame to be swapped was wrong. When I ordered the frames, they charged me first the deposit and then again for the full amount. Very sad what they have done to that place. I had been going there for years and I will NOT step foot in there every again. They should be ashamed the way they treat customers. I do see one good review here for the Newtown Square location so perhaps I will try that location but frankly I don’t know if I should give this owner any business.

Had a Groupon and was charged a ridiculous amount of money for a simple, small frame. But what was worse, the advice I got was perfunctory (she’d rather not be bothered), and turned out to be terrible to boot. The frame does no justice to the art. Will probably have to re-​frame it to display it.
Since this debacle I discovered Merion Art and Supply… four great framing jobs in a row. Two very difficult antique posters and two diploma framings. The Narberth location was terrific BEFORE Masterpieces took over. The ladies were sweet, knowledgeable and reasonable. So sorry they had to sell.

I had a great experience here working with Alice at the Newtown Square location. I found Masterpieces through their groupon, and in the span of a few months we used them 3 separate times for framing and photo restoration/​reprinting. Alice was so helpful and professional, and we could not be happier with their work. We will definitely be returning to them for anything that we need framed in the future.

This place is terrible! I would not recommend it to anyone who cares about customer service. To their credit, they do have a decent reputation as far as the actual work that they do but their prices are ridiculous. I am well aware of the high cost of framing and have had several expensive pieces framed. I am more than willing to pay the going rate. But when you tell me that you want $ 200 for a basic, thin black frame, without matting (what you would find at a drug store for $ 3.99) for an 8″ x 10″ photo that is outrageous. There are so many good framers out there to choose from, DON’T choose this place! (Any of their 3 locations)
