Specialties

The Carroll Center for the Blind is a comprehensive agency committed to the independence of blind and visually impaired persons of all ages through a variety of programs and services both at our campus and in the community. Our goal is to give each individual the training and support so they can live independent and fulfilling lives.

History

Established in 1936.

The Carroll Center has pioneered innovative methods that enable persons who are blind or have low vision to learn the skills to be independent in their homes, in class settings, and in their work places. We provide vision rehabilitation services, vocational and transition programs, assistive technology training, educational support and recreation opportunities for individuals who are visually impaired of all ages. The Carroll Center staff have provided thousands of blind and vision impaired persons with diverse opportunities for success and independent living.
