I happened to be in the area, walked by Sal’s, checked it out on Unilocal,saw the great reviews, and decided to give it a try. I’m so glad I did. He was careful, exacting, deliberate, and skilled. I walked out with a great cut.

This place is great. I’ve had my hair cut by both guys there and they each did a spectacular job. They listen to what you want and you can see they really pay attention to the details. Definitely recommend.

This place is great. Was trying out new places as I’m new to the area and after four or five places, this is the new barber. To keep it simple, this place is straight and to the point. Great haircut, don’t spend time talking if there’s a line, very clean and modern. Nice straight edge to the neck to finish it off. Can’t wait to get my cut tomorrow for a great price.

Excellent place to go for a haircut! They all do a great job here and really know how to cut hair perfectly. Very friendly and their prices are great, especially for Newton. The best part is the straight razor shave after the cut.

Sal, a great new local barber! His original shop is in Jamaica Plains and now has another shop in Newtonville. He is hyper focused on your haircut. He went over the cut multiple times and had an elaborate process to get the cut right. We came in without knowing what cut to get, but he gave my boyfriend the best haircut I’ve seen on him. 15 dollars on Tues and Wed is hard to beat, especially when it looks like he got it done at a higher end shop. Definitely recommended.
