Description

Specialties

Located on a 40-acre campus, we have served area residents since 1949. We’re proud of the reputation we have earned for our commitment to providing quality senior living at all levels.

The campus is a short drive from downtown Newton with shopping, restaurants and community cultural activities. We offer independent living, assisted living, long-term care/skilled nursing, memory care (Alzheimer’s/dementia), short-term rehabilitation, respite care and adult day services. We also have a Wellness Center open to the broader community and the Apple A Day Preschool.

History

Established in 1949.

From a single structure in 1949 to a community encompassing a full range of living options including «privacy enhanced» rooms, apartments, townhomes and cottages, Newton Presbyterian Manor has seen dramatic progress over the years, not only in its physical presence, but also in the way it provides care.

An ambitious $ 1.4 million revitalization campaign launched in 2004, and financed by more than $ 750,000 in private donations, included the renovation and expansion of the health care center, expansion of the memory care center, and addition of a state-of-the-art wellness center. Improvements also included the creation of «household» environments designed to facilitate more personal friendships, interaction among residents, independence, and most importantly, resident self-worth.
