Negoshian’s Towing & Service

Came here for an inspection. Got failed for torn wiper blades. The blades were fine before I came in, but the inspector handed me the blades all torn at the ends. Fine, I go to autozone to buy new blades. No way I’m buying them here. I come back and another woman gets her car failed for torn blades! Possible scam going on here. I’d stay away from this place for inspections.

Only let you pay in cash, also pretty rude. That gets you 3 stars as a towing company!

A guy from Negoshian’s towed my car back to their lot after an accident this weekend. He also dropped me off at a convenient place for my boyfriend to pick me up and helped me calm down on the way. He even took time to look for my glasses in my car once he got back!
Every time I’ve talked with someone there, they’ve been extremely helpful. They gave me some advice on dealing with my insurance company which I really appreciated and were all just generally all-​around nice people to interact with. It made dealing with my totaled car much easier.

Cheapest gas in the area by far and while you may have to wait a few minutes the savings is well worth it plus it’s open late (for the area) till 11pm every day of the week including Sunday’s…

While I appreciate the effort and agree that I am now programmed to believe all gas stations are up to getting most money possible out of me I don’t think your experiment at the parking lot section was odd or out of the ordinary unfortunately.
I’ve had the same bad luck once muscle and once with a girlfriend where my car was towed to a lot in Boston on the Chelsea/​Everett line next to the Zakim Bridge and my had nearly an identical experience. They would only accept cash, gave me some half ass receipt & would not let me look at the car prior to signing the release (my reason being that I want to ensure there was nothing missing or any damage to the car before signing something saying I received it back, etc.).
Luckily nothing. Was wrong and I too paid for for a full day when it was only a few hours at most.
With their State contracts they really do hold little to any real responsibility since any issues/​problems encountered would be involve dealing with the State Police & not the individual towing company. In addition, no lots charge by the hour why would they? I’m sure it would create a huge headache of people complaining their car was only their for 3.5hiurs and not 4 so like most companies they have a flat rate. Yes you could argue it sucks in your personal experience but what bout people who get their car towed their at 10:30pm and pick it up at 11pm they are only charge one day as well. Need to look at it from both perspectives.
Guess all I’m trying to say is blame the industry and its accepted practices/​routine not the individuals/​companies. And I always TRY to do my best not to make assumptions I’m being screwed but at same time I always try to educate myself online and call other garages to ensure things seem up and up & find one mechanic/​garage and stick w it so you can build a solid relationship

Great Service, my car overheated in front of Sunoco and the Gas attendant Jimmy told me, I probably needed a new water hose, They towed my car down the Street to their new location and fixed it for me within half a hour. They guys were nice and very helpful.

You know, for a while, I liked going to negations. The Russian man Oleg that pumps gas (has for years) is a really cool guy. Used to encourage me to do huge burnouts in the cvs parking lot after I left. I enjoyed it. Always cheap if you pay cash too.
Then one day, I got into a pretty decent car accident when a Chinese woman decided her text was more important than watching the busy intersection in front of negotions. I was DIRECTLY in front of the entrance, I was pulling in to fill up. The police arrived and told me negotions would just tow it because it would take an hour for tody’s to come out. Understandable of course.
Now it gets bad. Immediately one of the employee jumps into his truck and just hooks himself up to my now wrecked suburban, and just trying to drive it right out of the way. The thing was still in f**cking park! I ran up despite the police and told him to stop, because my brand new rebuilt transmission was being destroyed. He jumped out with a ridiculous amount of attitude «well I’m trying to get YOUR car out of MY lot.» At this point I’m furious for multiple different reasons, not even including the concussion that was now full on. I walked right from where my truck was picked up immediately up to the office, where I was told before even waking through the door all the way that it would be 130 bucks to get my truck back, which wasn’t even in the yard yet. They charged me 20 f**king bucks for gas! I paid it, IMMEDIATELY, felt like I got damn robbed. He said just go down and the guy who brought it would just drop It before even putting it in. I walked down there, and no one was there. My truck was there, behind the locked fence, and no one was there. I called AAA so they could tow it to my house, and called negotions to say no one was here. I was immediately given sh*t and told to wait and someone would be there.
An hour passes. First AAA driver shows up, I call again, he says someone will be there, to let out my truck that was legally mine before they even put it in the gate. 30 minutes pass, I walk back to the station and tell them that AAA has been there for a half an hour. A wrench is thrown onto the ground and I get screamed at like I’m a child to wait and someone would be there. I go back. AAA guy has been here almost an hour, says this stuff happens all the time. He leaves because he had another call. I’ve been sitting at dunkin donuts for 2 hours now, and my paid for truck is still locked up. An hour passes, so 3 hours now, and it’s now dark. AAA guy comes back, and I call again, saying that this is the second time AAA has been here, and still no truck. The son of a b**ch hung up on me. At this point I’m furious, and 100% sure to never buy that watered down s**t they call gas there ever again.
I finally got it back 15 minutes after he hung up on me, when I walked back inside and told the man that if didn’t have my truck out in 5 minutes I’m calling the police because of them holding my vehicle hostage.
It wasn’t until 3 days later I looked through my truck FRANTICALLY, tearing apart the entire thing, before I have come to the full and entire conclusion that the man who drove my truck into the lot stole my watch out of the cubby under the radio. 200 dollar citizen watch.
These scumbags are the poorest excuse for a towing company I have ever seen. Except for Oleg.

This is a review/​letter to TImothy T. of Negoshian’s Towing, since I could not obtain any names while at the gas station office. The question begs — what was I doing there. Well here it goes.
This morning my wife’s brand new SUV got towed. Happens to anybody and one might say why stress over it. She called me at work, luckily I am not too far and in less than half an hour we walked into Negosian’s Gas Station which serves as a front office for Negoshian’s Towing. A young man very politely asks us about our business and after checking in a back room said that someone would be with us «in a minute». We waited a good 5 to 7 minutes when the same young man, that was actually a person filling cars at the pumps, walked in again and after our question for the second time said: «sit down, he’ll be with you when he can, he is on the phone». From here on I’ll refer to that mysterious person as a «he».
Finally after about 10 minutes «he» appeared. A tall young man early to mid 30-​es dressed in black with a black skull hat and with an I-​phone in hand. «He» asked us very rudely: «make, model, color, license plate». I answered to which he said: «you’ll have to wait, the slip is not ready». I jokingly said «so I should have gone to your storage lot and just drive away, since you have no record of my vehicle?» This set him off. «You would have been arrested for trespassing, there are cameras there «and on and on. I chose not to respond. «He» was talking on his I-​phone, texting, answering gas station phone and after another 5 or so minutes started writing a slip. So I ask you: «who should have had the slip ready?»
As a curious consumer and a mechanical engineer I asked the «he» if the parking pin could be broken while the vehicle is towed. That set off another avalanche of «oh, now you are accusing me of breaking and damaging your car?» «Are you a mechanic all of a sudden?» To which I answered — «no I am not a mechanic, but with an advanced degree in mechanical engineering I know a thing or two about cars». The answer was «And I have a degree in Law». I still cannot comprehend how relevant Law degree is to towing cars nor was «he» trying to scare me with it?
Finally he wrote a slip and I extended my hand with a credit card. «No, cash only, and license» «If you have no cash there is an ATM in CVS». I tried to protest that any legitimate business in today’s day in age accepts credit and debit cards, even taxicabs do it. It got me nowhere. «Cash only, or you won’t get your car, and I charged you the wrong rate for fuel charge». He very unprofessionally just wrote right over the numbers. «$ 131.30» «he» repeated himself «in cash». I paid in cash and after receiving the slip, which I did not sign, and there is a provision for a customer signature, «he» said «you are all set». I replied — «no, I am not done, I would like you credentials and owners phone number» «He» finally introduced himself «my name is Joe» and handed me a general card for a gas station. When I asked him for his last name, he replied: «I run a towing service and I don’t give out my last name». Too which I said: «you did not hear the last of me». «Are you threatening me?» Joe asked. «No, but I am considering legal action» I replied and left the office.
Again I am at a loss, why towing service person is such a secretive position that the customer cannot know his last name.
When I got the slip there were charges: Towing — $ 90; Storage 1 day at $ 35 = $ 35; 7% March Fuel Surcharge — $ 6.30 for a total $ 131.30. I did not dispute any of the charges, but 45 minutes on the lot constitutes a full day charge? How is that not a Highway Robbery?
In conclusion Mr. TImothy T. of Negoshian’s Towing, I would like to say: I have been your gas customer for about 25 plus years and I buy 3 to 4 tanks of gas (I have 4 vehicles) every week. I believe my experience with your employee will make me think really hard about coming back to your station. As a businessman you know how important is customer service and how powerful is «word of mouth». Believe me I can and will talk about this incident with everyone who would listen. Rude, angry and plain unprofessional employees give you and your business a bad name, and if you care about your business you’ll do something about it.

Not that anyone is really going to post a great review of a company that ruined their day, but it truly was salt in the wound to have the sticker from hell attached to my window after I paid money to get my car taken down from the lift (not even towed)
Awesome times = my fingers getting frostnip trying to rip off an apparently cement-​sealed sticker off of my driver’s side window before giving up, cursing God, and going inside.
Maybe just towing somebody and charging them a ton of money would be enough? I’m just spitballing here, and I’m sure nobody at the company actually reads these, but I’m pretty sure that somebody’s car being gone would be indication enough that it was towed. Instead, I get to flaunt my idiocy to the entire world until I can get the sticker off (which will likely be several days in these bitterly cold times.)
I’ve never heard of another towing company putting a sticker on either, since like I said in inhibits viewing out of the windows, so I don’t really know the necessity of it.
Moral of the story: towing’s enough. Really.

At least one of the drivers of this company’s enormous trucks enjoys changing lanes without directionals and without looking — if you get crushed against a median, well, that’s your problem. I would never consider doing business with such a careless company.

I’m not to sure why they have such bad reviews. I had such a lovely experience with this company and would recommend them to anyone!
I called them up in a panic because I needed to have my car towed to Toyota because I lost my key! They told me $ 90 and they’d be there in a half hour. I get a call 10 minutes later and he was at my house and my car was all hooked up and ready to go in another 5 – 10 minutes. I decided to ride down in the tow truck with my car. I was VERY impressed with the driver’s driving ability. I felt very safe and was much more reassured with the way he towed my car then the company who towed it to my house from Boston the night before!
So after a weekend with a series of unfortunate events and Murphy’s law in full play; this was definitely the highlight of it! They made towing a pleasure! An experience I was very hesitant about due to all the poor reviews was actually a fantastic experience!
Use your own judgement when it come to reviewing this company don’t let your current situation sway your opinion on hem just because your in a bad mood or having a bad day. It’s not an easy job but they sure make it look that way!
ABSOLUTELY WOULD RECOMMEND!

Hertz called this company to help get my rented vehicle free from a snow embankment. When the guy showed up he was so clueless that not only did he pull the vehicles wheels out of alignment when he freed it, but he actually backed his truck with the door open in to my garage, damaging the garage and the door! The guy spent the rest of the time griping about how he had already lost the money he made from doing the tow on repairing his truck; he didn’t even apologize. After all was said and done, Hertz tried to send me a bill for $ 250 for the incident. After refusing to pay I threatened to take them to court, upon which they immediately stopped sending bills. They damaged my garage and my car (good thing it was only rented!) They obviously don’t train their operators and they have no business being in business. I would give them zero stars if that were an option.

similar experience to other bad reviews posted… the state poilce are obvi getting kickbacks. freakin corrupt. They charged me a FLAT RATE of $ 200!!! ridic.
If you have AAA, send them the receipt for a reimbursement!

Aggressive and corrupt. The worst experience I have ever had with any business. Truly horrible owner who verbally attacked me for no reason. (I’m not some sort of oblivious, rude, demanding person. I’m easy-​going and flexible, and his treatment of me seemed bizarre and came out of nowhere.) Anyway, I would avoid them. (If you don’t believe me, check the city search reviews, which are terrible and the yahoo reviews, which are so-​so.)

After my car breaks down on the highway, I call AAA. The state police show up and call Negoshians Towing Service because they’re impatient. The tow truck comes and driver walked right past me and said, «I’m not here for you, I’m here for the state police.» After speaking to the officer, he asked for the keys to my car. The entire time I believed this guy to be AAA. About 2 minutes later, AAA shows up. Negoshians tow guy (Kevin) then identifies himself as the police — lie. Negoshians’s guy refused to let AAA tow my car — money hungry? So my friend and I had to drive to Negoshians. We got there before the tow truck did. They charged me for the tow, gas (way more than needed to be used) as well as housing! I didn’t need it to be housed and AAA was going to take it right away, which they knew.
I called the next day to voice my concerns. Ted, the guy «in charge» was very nice in taking the concerns and ACTING like he would get to the bottom of this. He never called me back. I called back today (week later) to speak with him and he wasn’t there but the guy who took the call got extremely rude and defensive. These guys are all out for themselves. They don’t care about customer service and are looking to make as much money off of people as they can. And clearly, in their opinion, they’re always right. And this goes without saying but Ted never called me back — poor follow through.
Also, good ol’ Kevin must have swiped my ipod out of the car. When AAA came to pick it up out of their lot, I noticed it was missing from the car. I thought I had it in my purse so I didn’t make a thing out of it but I learned later that I didn’t have it. Negoshians’s staff didn’t make any effort to apologize for the inconvenience or missing property. My hope is that the State Police contract with a more law abiding and personable company. These guys are corrupt!

My daughter was in an accident and her car was towed to negohsian. We had to leave the next day for a family vacation and it was necessary to call them several times to work out logistics. These guys were GREAT! They were nice courteous and went out of their way to be helpful. I now make a point of buying gas there too.

Apparently you can’t give no stars. The State police towed my car to this place. I called and the guy was so rude on the phone from the jump that I was speechless. I feel like Unilocal probably won’t let me swear enough in this review to do this guy justice, if a few written paragraphs even could do this guy justice. I don’t remember the conversation verbatim but it went something like this:
(Phone rings and gets picked up)
Him: …
Me: Hello?
Him: Yeah.
Me: Is this Negoshian’s Towing?
Him: Why are you calling?
Me: What?
Him: What are you calling about? What reason are you calling for?
Me: The cops said you have my car.
Him: Name, make, model.
And so forth. If he didn’t have me by the balls (i.e. my car wasn’t in his possession) I would have told him to go efff himself. It was a lot worse than my description captures. I swear if this were under different circumstances and that douche acted like that to my face there would have been a scene.
So I have AAA (which they don’t take, obviously) and I called them to have it picked up and brought to my mechanic. The first company AAA hooked me up with called and said they’d be there in 15 minutes.
About 10 minutes later I get another call from AAA telling me the 1^st tow company wouldn’t be allowed on Negoshain’s property and they’ll send someone from a different company. They would be there in 45 minutes.
It’s raining and like 38 degrees and I’m sitting in a Dunkins with a few homeless people waiting.
These guys truly, truly suck. I wrote a letter to the state police telling them what consummate nonprofessionals these guys were and suggested they look elsewhere for services. Hopefully they listen so others don’t have to deal with this jerk off. Hope upon hope that they go out of business and the next time someone is waiting in a Dunkins for AAA to show up this guy is serving them coffee and getting berated for not calling a teenage punk sir.
