Established in 2004.

Carl and Lori Jenkins opened Jenkins Funeral Home in 2004. We purchased the church building of Startown First Baptist Church and began renovating for its use as a funeral home. «What a wonderful building that is so conducive for our needs and the needs of the community. We have added an outdoor pavilion and already have an indoor Gathering Center for families desiring to have meals after a service. We have expanded our parking lot and added a new preparation room and a second chapel.» Over 200 families a year trust Jenkins Funeral Home for services. Our prices are the lowest in the county, with cremation at only $ 795.00.

Business Owner

A graduate of NC Wesleyan College and Fayetteville Community College, Carl has an AAS in Funeral Service Education and a BS in Psychology. He and his wife Lori are owners of Jenkins Funeral Home and Cremation Service in Newton, near Hickory, NC. They have two daughters and a son, Ben, whom is active in the family profession.
