Future Shapes is a fitness center in the Newton area that strives to provide a supportive, educational, motivational, and enjoyable environment where each client can achieve their desired health and fitness goals. Founder and president Deirdre «DeeDee» Antonelli is dedicated to individualized, innovative training for her clients, each of whom she considers part of her extended fitness family. Her team of athletic trainers, exercise physiologists, physical therapists, certified personal trainers, and massage therapists help her to provide a facility that is much more than a gym. Perfection in every way. I have been a client for 5+ years, and while searching for something else on Unilocal,thought I needed to tell others about this fabulous personal training group. DD, the owner, and all the trainers who work with her, are totally attuned to you as an individual. The studio is bright and very clean. I have worked with 4 of the trainers and all are warm, smart, and personable and yet push you to improve strength, balance, endurance, and personal goals. And better yet, it’s never the same. They are always presenting new exercises or the latest equipment — which keeps it fun and NEVER boring. I don’t know how they so many different ways to challenge the body, but they do. Parking is no problem. Very welcoming for serious exercisers and newbies alike (and all those in between). Just having those twice a week appointments is a good thing.

I recently had an amazing training session with Emily Savard! She was very professional in all aspects. Emily was extremely conscientious about my current physical status, history of injuries and goals. I cycle, swim, row and do yoga but have had many injuries/​surgeries in the past. She was not only great but FUN. She was creative and after the session I felt SO good. Everyone at Future Shapes was friendly and what an overall positive experience it was! Easy to get to and lots of parking.
