History

Established in 1982.

Ellen Silver Highfield has been practicing acupuncture since 1982. She is a graduate of the New England School of Acupuncture, where she has served as Faculty. She is also Faculty at Harvard Medical School and an Assistant Professor at the Boston University School of Medicine, Department of Family Medicine.

Ellen is an experienced clinician. She has worked at the bedside at Boston Children’s Hospital for over 20 years, and for the past 10 years she has worked in multiple departments at Boston Medical Center serving as the Director of Acupuncture Programs.

Ellen is also a recognized researcher into acupuncture and has been published in numerous peer-​reviewed journals.
