Jen specializes in Massage and CranioSacral Therapy. Drawing from Swedish, Deep Tissue, Myofascial and Trigger Point therapy; she combines them to meet the specific needs of each individual client. Massage for Prenatal clients is also available.

Massage is not just for treating injury or releasing tension. Massage should also be considered part of your healthcare routine. This therapy can prevent future injury, improve posture, and keep the immune system happy and healthy.

History

Established in 2010.

Bloom Massage Therapy is owned and operated by Jennifer Kenneally, LMT. Jen came to a career in Massage Therapy because of her training in theatre and dance. As an active performer, teacher and choreographer she learned first-​hand how the body feels when it is overworked and in a state of dysfunction. Dancers, as well as other athletes are often told to «work through» pain or injury; «The Show Must Go On!» We ignore our pain and write it off as «normal» or «part of the job». Jen believed this for almost two decades until her body had had enough. Years ago, during a particularly intense tech week for a musical production she was starring in, Jen had pain in her back that was so bad she couldn’t dance or sing, it hurt to inhale, twist or bend! After receiving massage and other forms of bodywork, she returned to the show and had many successful performances. This experience inspired her to follow a dream she had had for a long time, and she immediately signed up for Massage Therapy School

As a therapist Jen is communicative and encouraging with her clients so they can be a mindful and active part of their own healing and prevention. Her background in theatre and dance, as well as her love of science propelled her into this career. On the day of her graduation, the President of her Massage Therapy school asked her to join the staff and become a Teachers Assistant and Sciences Tutor. Following graduation she began her studies in CranioSacral Therapy, and has completed the first 4 levels of training and will be taking «Advanced CranioSacral Therapy» as soon as possible. She has also begun studies in NeuroMeningeal Manipulation, which helps free up restriction of the nerves.

I saw Jen Kenneally yesterday to help with a muscle in my back/​shoulder that has been in spasm for 3 days; I selected her based on her stellar Unilocal reviews, as I’d had an unsuccessful visit with another therapist over the weekend. I had very limited mobility when I arrived for my appointment, and was in debilitating pain. She is very skilled, empathetic, and did exactly what I asked — released the tension from the muscle that was in spasm, in addition to working the muscles around the area. When I arose from the table, I had complete range of motion again and no pain. If you’re on the fence about booking an appointment, particularly if you are seeking relief from pain, I recommend giving her a try.

My shoulders and back feel like buttah! I cannot say enough great things about Bloom Massage. I have been seeing Jenn on a regular basis for the last six months and I have been recommending Bloom to everyone I can for five months. And now, Unilocal,you get to hear me rave, too.
The office is clean, calm, and peaceful. You’re already on your way to relaxing before you even hit the massage table. The Bloom massage therapists are professional and friendly and I really feel pampered when I’m there.
If you’re interested in massage like I was when I first gave Bloom a try, you’ll definitely go home happy. This is why I keep coming back. Jenn also introduced me to craniosachral therapy and made some corrections to my hips and spine that had plagued me for years. The therapy is so non-​invasive, just light touches really, but its therapy is profound. Honestly, you’ve got to try it to see for yourself. The word for it is cool. It’s just flat out cool to see this treatment’s emotional and physical effects.

I just left my first massage with Jen… WOW! I had one of those crummy moments when you bend the wrong way and all of a sudden can’t move from the pain. Jen fit me right in and was really sympathetic to how much pain I was in. I do mean «was» because post massage I am feeling so much better! Before my massage, I had to hobble into the office bent over from the pain. I walked out straight backed and feeling so relaxed. She really listened to me and asked questions, which really made me feel cared for.
I will definitely continue to use Bloom Massage Therapy. I feel so much better! I even booked another appointment.
If you’re looking for a relaxing message that caters to you, then I highly suggest Bloom. Jen even sent me home with some tips for self care. Wonderful!

Have gone here 3 times and really liked it, but then I scheduled an appointment and nobody was there. They flat out forgot that I was coming in. When they finally returned my call a day later, they apologized, but didn’t offer any sort of comp or discount. I drove 30 minutes there, 30 minutes back, and waited outside their office for 20 minutes and all they thought to do was ask when I wanted to reschedule. Really frustrating considering they charge you full price if you cancel within 24 hours yet they don’t reciprocate.
Other times were good for what it’s worth, but it was bad enough that I’ve still remembered it from weeks ago and still am posting this.

This review is for Jen’s new WEYMOUTH location. This was the first time I had a massage in a sunlit room and it was lovely to have the warm energy there. Usually when I have a massage in a dark room, it’s too much of a cave and when I leave it’s so jarring that I lose my relaxation.
This massage was not only relaxing, but also very healing. I can tell that Jen is very knowledgeable about what she does because she clearly explained what she was doing and why I had those particular knots or tight spots.
Jen is warm and welcoming and the whole experience was very comfortable. Definitely worth it for my «treat yo-​self» days!

I’m not one to frequently splurge on massages because, other than dining out, I just don’t pamper myself that much. Additionally, most experiences I’ve had with massage therapists have been relaxing but not physically therapeutic.
Jen, on the other hand, was fantastic! She listened to what I had to say and adjusted her approach appropriately. The consequence was a massage that not only left me relaxed but also noticeably looser and more flexible. I would definitely recommend her!

Jen came highly recommended by a friend and I decided to try her out to alleviate my p90x training regimen. She performed a very thorough deep tissue Swedish massage which released my tight muscles and helped me recover quickly! I’ve been to several massage therapists and Jen is as talented as, if not the most talented therapist I’ve ever been to. Jen is truly a gifted massage therapist! I’ve been going to various practitioners most of my life, and have had a variety of body work techniques performed on me – and Jen was one of the most technically proficient and attentive people I’ve ever had the pleasure of being worked on. My recent 60-​minute session with Jen was amazing, and afterward I was more relaxed than I have been in many months.
I had been having a lot of shoulder pain probably related to sitting and typing at work, plus I had been dancing in a ballet production for a month and wanted to take care of my back and calf muscles. This was the first massage that I’ve had where I was involved in the process in a way. I was able to talk with her beforehand about what pain I was having and where, then during the massage she would talk to me about how things felt. Afterward, she gave me suggestions of stretches I can do to relieve pain at work.
I’m already looking forward to my next session!
