Service was poor and slow. We have waited so long to order and have our meals. Tastes of meal were avarage.

Overall experience was below average. The server was good, he was friendly and fast. Food was not good at all. We ordered chicken wings as appetizers and it came cold. My entrée was chicken piccata with some sort of pasta, the dish was cold, chicken was bland and pasta was so dry, just terrible. My husband ordered chicken barbecue pizza and it tasted ok. Have been to better Bertuccis, the one in Needham is a little bit better.

Ordered takeout from them last night around 6PM and was told the order would be ready in 20 – 25 minutes. I arrived 25 minutes later and was told my order would be out in 2 – 3 minutes. 20 minutes later, the order was finally complete. When I saw the gentleman bag the order he took my girlfriend’s part of the order which had been sitting on the counter for at least 20 minutes and put it in with the rest of the order. I knew it would be cold when opened and it was! On top of that, the chicken was overcooked and the pasta was dry and bland. The restaurant seemed grossly understaffed given the high volume which should have been expected given the time of year. In any event, I called the manager after I ate and he said he would issue a refund by mail. I don’t mind spending $ 40 on casual dining takeout for 2, but when the food is practically inedible and the wait time is much longer than promised, I have an issue. Hopefully, this was the exception and not the norm, as I have enjoyed dining at Bertucci’s in the past.

This is another amazing Bertucci’s restaurant. I visited this location last weekend, as I was in the area. Hristina(yes, that is how you spell it) and James(who was training) were both super friendly, kind, efficient, and made sure my experience went perfect. The actual restaurant is the average size for a Bertucci’s location, and wasn’t crowded at all. I like how this location has somewhat of 2-floor seating. The bottom floor has a dining area and the upper floor has window seating viewing busy Centre Street. The food here is like any other Bertucci’s, amazing. I got pizza, which was to perfection(isn’t it always!). Plus, those rolls they give each table are amazing(make sure to try some). Additionally, this Bertucci’s is extremely conveniently located right by Watertown Center, Newtonville Center, and the Mass Pike(and not far from Route 9), with an ample parking lot. This is a great restaurant to check out in Newton. Definitely make a trip. 5 stars.

Husband, kiddo and I went here on a whim one night. Big mistake. They effed up my meal horribly. My kid who will eat anything didn’t want anything from their menus. Husbands food was super bland. We won’t bother going back.

Our server was obviously new and simply incompetent. the bread and salad didnt come together or in a timely manner. it was only AFTER I and my friend ordered a salad for lunch did we realize that a salad came with the meal. We would have ordered a different more expensive selection, like a pasta dish. There was a lot of GREENS on the table! all together the food was good, service… meh!

Another chain. and this isn’t my favorite location… BUT, the inside of the restaurant is great and food is always delicious… fresh and hot and great variety… very reasonably priced… cute little bar, also, for days where you want to have a drink. There are often a lot of kids, so think of this more like a olive garden, but better food. Good food :) Nice and clean inside… doesn’t match the outside :)

I love Bertucci’s pizza. I have no idea how anyone does not absolutely love their margherita. People inform me that this is a somewhat minority view. But we Bertucci lovers are legion! I have an Italian chef friend who makes pizza for a local bakery who loves Bertucci — she is sick of trying to make artisan flatbread pizza and craves a real Italian pizza with good sauce. I recommend trying it. Likely, you will like some other pizza more. But you might be like me and drive from the airport(Logan) to Bertucci’s on the Mass Pike when I get home to Boston. If this makes me unsophisticated I don’t care. 5-stars.

What happened to this place? Bertuccis used to be a good(not great) Italian place for adults and kids alike. Over the years, the quality has steadily declined, probably from becoming way too corporate. These are some low-lights from my recent visit: 1. Pizza guy rolling out pizza dough with a rolling pin! 2. «Wood» fired oven now heated with some Duraflame wood-like product. 3. Guacamole(yes not a typo) is now on the menu — WTF? The pizza now coming out of the«wood» ovens is barely better than frozen or Dominos for a starting price of $ 15 for a large cheese. I know the kids love the rolls and the pizza play dough but this place should now be avoided.

First things first, the bread we had as a starter was unreal. It’s rare that I eat multiple rolls at a restaurant, but I couldn’t resist! It was perfectly warm, probably right out of the oven and I loved the cheese/oil/red pepper mixture they serve it with. I ordered a small Veggie pizza(new to the menu) and my girlfriend went with plain ol’ Margherita. Hers was fine, but just tasted plain. Mine was awesome – loaded with fresh broccoli, peppers, mushrooms, onions, and tomatoes. The pizza was nice and crispy but the crust was doughy. Perfect! I had a free birthday dessert coupon and when I saw the menu I was surprised to see a Triple Chocolate Brownie Sundae and a Cookie Sundae as I didn’t see them on the online menu for this location. I ordered the Triple Chocolate Brownie Sundae to go – immediately realizing a sundae is not a good«to-go» item. However, they did a good job modifying it, putting the ice cream in a separate container. Unfortunately we didn’t get any hot fudge, whipped cream, or caramel sauce, but they probably did their best. The combo of the rich, warm brownie and the sweet vanilla bean ice cream was awesome! We both loved it. Without the ice cream I think the brownie may have been a little dry. Service was very quick around 5:45 on a Thursday, with our food coming in about 10 minutes!

One word: racist. I have NEVER in my life walked out of a restaurant after being seated by the host. First time for everything right? Unfortunately it was the case here. I’ve been to different Bertucci locations in the past, but this one surpasses them all in terms of how terrible the service is. I can’t say much about the food, but when you combine carbs, cheese and fats, can anyone go wrong? It all started with the hostess. We initially asked for a window seat, because the table near the door was a bit chilly. She said it would take a few minutes because they had to clean the table. No problem. About 10 minutes later she had a smug attitude upon ushering us to our window table. Last time I checked, this diva was servicing us, not the other way around. An observation upon walking to our table, there was more than three unoccupied window tables throughout the restaurant. Strange we thought. maybe they were being reserved. along with 50% of the tables in the restaurant. But we let bygones be bygones. Next came the waitress, or more like the lack of. We sat at the table waiting for our waitress. There were a few patrons around us, so giving her the benefit of the doubt we assumed she was very busy servicing others. Over 10minutes passed and still no acknowledgement. Maybe they were THAT busy. Then again, it was only a weeknight. and more than half the restaurant was empty. Hmm. We began to notice it didn’t seem normal when she walked passed our table. once, twice, three times and counting. Not even a quick«I’ll be right with you», not even a glance. Wow, being invisible is quite easy. The tipping point was when another family was seated 2 tables away from us. She quickly went over and provided them with service. That was the last straw, how UNPROFESSIONAL. I know we were too small to be seen, sitting at the table… in front of her. Wish I could say the same about her. I know we don’t go to a restaurant for the service, but part of the dining experience is interacting with the wait staff. I will never be back to this particular Bertucci’s given the immature and unprofessional demeanor of the hostess and that waitress. We aren’t asking to be treated like royalty. We wanted to just be treated THESAMEASANYONEELSE. If the two girls wanted to be racist, they should’ve done so more discreetly. On a separate note, upon our exit, the manager was extremely kind and professional when we addressed our frustration. If we could give this place a zero rating, we would. Fortunately, Unilocal is more generous. It’s too bad it had to end like this, a family’s gotta eat when they’re hungry! On the bright side, there are many killer restaurants in the vicinity. As for the two kids, the world works in funny ways and sure enough karma will catch up to them.

The food is not great, and the prices are way too high for what you get. Over-cooked pasta, cheese for days and sloppy presentation. They give you lots of bread(which tastes pretty good) and the service is decent).Just meh.

I went to here for by my self. I was waiting for waitress that I can have at least a glass of water, almost in 10 minuets. But no one came… Then I just left. They suppose to learn how to serve customers well. Just basic stuff.

The Rosemary chicken sandwich is my favorite, used to like their salmon. However, The last Two times I ordered the salmon I had to return it. It was beyond awful ! Not sure if it was spoiled or just the bad quality salmon. Their Shrimp Rossini is excellent, defenitly recommend it.

We’ve been coming here for years. Lately the food coming out of the kitchen has been inconsistent and not always good. The roils and dip are good. The pizza is OK. When the kitchen cooks well, it can be very good. Some of the servers are excellent for example Hristina who has been there for over 5 years. Others are newer and not as good. The bartenders are rushed and frequently put out the wrong drinks. You have to put in a request for it to be re-made and it comes out right the second time. Same with the kitchen by the way. In their defense, on some nights they are slammed with big teams and large groups. If you go here, pick a slow night and hope they have their A chefs in the kitchen.

First of all, this location was dramatically understaffed, causing extremely slow service. We waited to give our order for so long we ran out of time for lunch(we did enjoy the bread rolls). Finally, we asked for a bowl(the larger size) of sausage soup to go, thinking they would be able to get this to us quickly. Nope. 15 more minutes go by(we had actually stood up to leave), and then they finally handed us a to-go bag. Inside the bag is the smallest little cup of soup, mind you, this is costing us $ 8(due to a lack of time at this point, and due to a lack of exact change, I leave a $ 10 bill). When we finally get back from lunch, we try the soup. It crunches due to a sand-like substance throughout. Total waste of time and money. I think it’s safe to say, Bertucci’s isn’t what it used to be, and we won’t be going back.

I’ve been here several times before and it’s so-so. I long ago lost the interest in Bertucci’s based on their dinner rolls and otherwise it’s just a way overpriced pizzeria with mediocre/bad Itialian food. I would say the pizza is also somewhere around mediocre. The pizza *can* be good but it can also be just terrible. I got the broccoli/chicken/lemon pizza for take out the other night when there was no other feasible options and I couldn’t even eat two slices of it. The chicken was low quality, and that low quality tastes permeates the entire experience. The wings were okay. I don’t really think anyone needs a Unilocal review of Bertucci’s — someone will either force you to go at some point, you’ve been to one of the 8 million other ones before or you’ll happily live on without visiting this very average chain. I would not ever recommend someone go here — it is the very height of unoriginality. There’s brilliant pizza around the corner at Max and Leo’s. Go there.

This was my first time at the chain restaurant and overall it was nice! The service was pleasant and courteous; we fortunately had an older and more experienced waittress who was very warm and accomadating, with a trainee following her around. From my observation, it seemed like the younger, newer servers in the restaurant were still learning the ropes to the waitressing game as they didn’t really put on an effort to smile or interact with the customers. I’ll give them some leeway considering it’s the summer and there are definitely going to be newbies. As a party of five, we ordered two large pizzas and a salad, but we ended up taking 6 slices back home. The pizza did take a while to come, but it was tolerable. I enjoyed the thin crust pizzas; as someone who typically eats around 3 slices for lunch, I only two and was already stuffed. The toppings were fresh and the pizza was cooked to a nice crispiness. The restaurant is very kid-friendly; there was a birthday party for a young boy and a girls’ tap recital celebration going on in the private room. Some may be put off by the sounds because of this, but I didn’t find it too bothersome.

Nothing great. It’s just an Italian fast food place. Received a plastic piece in the lobster and some crunchy stones in the pasta. Service — slow, inefficient. Again, it’s actually a fast food place. Still want to pay the same? Find more places on Unilocal

I generally like this Bertucci’s. I definitely do. Their lunch specials are awesome, and are at good prices. I’ve never had a sour moment here, well not true. I did once, but the manager took care of my meal and comped it without a question. Because of that, I keep coming back to dine in or place a take out order. Good customer service pays off, I always say. Recommended items: mozzarella fritta, pesto bacon menucci, chicken milanese sandwich, margherita pizza(any pizza for that matter…), the wings, sauteed chicken piccata, and… my favorite, chicken domani(I sub the asiago for mozzarella because I hate asiago). Mangia mangia!
