This place has the best food!!! When comparing to other pizza places around the cost is the same or cheaper and portions are big and tasty!!! I noticed other reviews that are not great but they are from prior owners or when new owners took over and staffing/recipe changes were being made. The old staff was still there at that time but are not anymore. Food is phenomenal! I noticed the sit down menu pricing was different and when I asked I was told it the old owner never updated it and new ones are being updated. When I asked about the price they were willing to honor them at this time! :) The best part was when I walked in I realized it was the original owner of newton pizza and his son. They recognized me as soon as I walked in. The food is fresh and just like before you can order slices with any topping even if it’s not already out. We have finally found our pizza place once again in Sussex county and couldn’t be happier!!! PS: BESTSANDWICHEVERISTHEFB!!! It’s a hidden menu item!

My favorite pizza place in Sussex County! All of the food here is basic pizzeria food, but good. I think the pizza is exceptional. I especially like their sausage pie or buffalo chicken pie. I don’t really understand some of the other reviewers opinions of the pizza, I don’t know anyone that doesn’t like Authentic’s pizza and it’s my personal favorite. They deliver, do take out and have a small, pretty nice dining area. Service is always young kids, but they are all VERY polite and attentive– definitely well-trained. Note: Some of the pictures posted by others are outdated. The interior was updated a few years ago and includes dark wood, stone and glass.

Not the best but not the worst. They rarely get the order right. I always order a pasta dish and sometimes it comes with bread, sometimes not. The pasta with meat sauce is terrible. French fries are terrible. Pizza is decent. A little pricey for newton nj, however they are one of the few places that deliver.

Garbage. Second in worst pizza of all time only to Villa. This is where people that have no clue about a good red gravy or proper parm come to eat. If you know good Italian and good pizza, skip this and save yourself from a truly disappointing experience.

Pizza is excellent in comparison to its competition. Cheese and crust are a perfect combination. No specialty pies, but the other menu items are very tasty. Been dining at this establishment whether take out or in, and have never been disappointed with my meal or service since its opening. Inside has also been remodeled.

The pizza is good. The sausage parm sub is delicious! Tried their stuffed eggplant for the first time last night and it was amazing!!! Yummy!!! :-)

I’ve been going since they opened, the food is always great and the owner and staff are always friendly. My favorites are their chicken parm pizza and penne alla vodka with chicken.

This pizza is the best around! My family and I have sampled many of the local pizza places and this one is definitely our favorite. We also tried the meatballs and thought they were very good — maybe the recipe has changed since the previous review in 2010. Also, I highly recommend the corn nuggets — they are awesome!

Best pizza & subs in town, and in the nearby towns.

This is a pizza counter, not full service restaurant. Food was average. The meatballs were below average.
