Artisan Childcare Center provides high-​quality childcare for children aged six weeks through six years. Artisan offers a singular curriculum that is well balanced while placing particular significance on artistic programs as valuable tools necessary to make learning fun and enhance academic performance. By honing in on the inherent curiosity of childhood, each student in our program will be introduced to a creative, interactive learning process that will foster both independent and collaborative thinking. Children of all ages will even receive daily music lessons as part of their schedule!

History

Established in 2014.

Artisan Childcare Center got started in Woburn in 2009. With a successful center in full swing, it was time to expand to a new community. Renovations began on the Newton location in February of 2014 and in August of the same year, the center opened to families. Artisan is thrilled to bring the unique arts and learning experience to a new area of Massachusetts!

Meet the Manager

Julie P.

Manager

Hello! I am Julie Penta, the director of Artisan Childcare Center in Newton.

I hold a MEd in Special Education, a MA in Expressive Arts Therapy and Mental Health Counseling, and BFA in Theatre Education. In 2012 I joined the Artisan team as the Lead Pre-​k Teacher where I developed and implemented the Pre-​K Program. I have over a decade of experience as an early childhood and performing arts educator and I look forward to bringing my experience to our stunning new center.
