Christine’s Day Spa & Electrolysis

I get monthly massages here with Jonathan for chronic pain management, and he’s absolutely amazing. They have specials relatively often, which is great.

Been going to them for years. Top notch service. Lana is their best esthetician. Every once in a while they have great specials, which I’m gonna need as they recently raised their rates! But still worth it. Whenever I try cheaper places in hopes they’ll deliver the same quality, I always leave thinking «Christine’s woulda done a better job»

Spa Week visit and was extremely impressed by Christine’s Day Spa. I booked a facial and relaxation massage. Both treatments were incredible and I finally was able to relax instead of counting down the minutes till the treatments were over. I think I started snoring during the massage. I am so thankful for finding them and will be a repeat customer.

Top notch service. Working with Christine has been amazing, though I bloody hate Electrolysis. We’ll just leave that at that.

A facial or two. Went swell and will always come back for future facials.
Massages here have helped a great deal with some pain since I’ve gotten back to running. You won’t find a better place or better people to help you figure out what you need and help you relax.
Nails. Quick service, careful touch to get it right. Can’t say that about many places these days.
I could go on and on about the people, but the people + service is phenomenal as a combination, so do yourself a favor and come here. ;)

I purchased a facial package from Christine’s during their spa week. I had never gotten a facial before, and honestly didn’t know what to expect. The overall experience was amazing and now I would like to get facials everyday if I could. Not only does the esthetician do a marvelous job, it was the most relaxing experience ever. She was polite, explained everything that she was doing, and educated me as she went on how to better care for my skin. The salon does this unique thing where they do a hot stone massage on your upper body (neck, shoulders, and arms) while the facial mask soaks in. It was fanatastic! By the end I had fallen asleep I was in such a state of relaxation. Thanks so much for the great first experience. I love it!

Nancy’s facial was awesome. I have not cared much about facials until I saw Nancy at this Spa during Spa week. She did an awesome job, my skin feels soft and fully hydrated even after 3 days. She evben offered to run out and feed the parking meeter for me while I was waiting for a massage after my facial. Will definitely go back to see Nancy again

I’ve been going to Christine’s for a over a year. My mom, who has the world’s most sensitive skin in the world, raved about their facials. I normally am a massage girl, I’m not a big fan of facials. Or, I should say, I was NOT a big fan of facials until I came here. Now I look forward to them!
I got an email for a special last August, it was for a facial and a half hour massage. I had met Nancy before for facials, but for the massage, I had LJ. She was as fabulous as Nancy is for facials. She dug in places that needed it (yes, I wanted to cry but I knew I’d feel better after). She also went WAY beyond the half hour. She’s an absolute sweetheart. My facial with Nancy was just as amazing. Even though it was a special deal, I didn’t feel rushed or «discounted». I felt like a goo ball when I left (in a good way, I wasn’t actually gooey).
This year, I’m pregnant, and LJ and Nancy have continued their amazing streak at making me feel relaxed and comfortable. My skin, thankfully, has been very cooperative during this pregnancy. Nancy just makes it glow and takes away any redness. Because of pregnancy, the extractions are not deep, and that’s just fine by me. I don’t want to leave feeling or looking worse than when I went in! LJ and her pre natal massage… ahhhh, bliss! Totally recommend to any pregnant woman who needs relief in areas that get hit hard by pregnancy. I’ve never had lower back or hip problems til I got pregnant. I’m 6 weeks away from giving birth, and I cannot tell you how bad my hips and back are. LJ’s massages don’t just give relief during the massage, they actually LAST. I get relief for more than a week. Glowing skin and relaxed muscles? I’ll take it!
The spa is a little pricey, but I’ve learned you pay for what you get. If you want a discount facial, sign up for their email blasts. Your facial won’t be cheap, but you’ll be very happy! Nancy has also done my brows and my mom’s brows. My mom has to drive almost 35 minutes to get her brows done, and they look amazing. Mine look great too (just with pre natal vitamins, they grow like weeds).
There’s one downside, and that’s parking. There is a public lot across the street with meters. Feed the meter or you’ll get a ticket. If you note the # of the meter and tell the staff at Christine’s they’ll run out and feed it if you give them quarters. It’s a small price to pay for fabulous spa treatment!

Brook did a great job with my facial! The only negative of the whole experience was not having relaxing music playing in the background so there was some awkward silence. Will definitely be going back though.

I went to Christine’s Day Spa for a much-​needed facial and could not be more satisfied with the one I got. Nancy took care of me — she asked about my skin issues and preferences and recommended a particular facial to address those. She recommended that I do a peel and she was very thorough with her explanation of the process as I was averse to peels based on my previous experience. While I was glad that I did the peel, she neglected to tell me that the cost was in addition to the facial. It was only $ 20 more which was fine but I would have preferred to have known that before getting to the register. The facial was very comprehensive and included a light body massage which was pleasantly unexpected. Nancy made me feel very comfortable and she did not spend the whole time talking about her personal life as is often the case with aestheticians (at least in my experience). The spa was clean, welcoming and relaxing. I also thought that the treatment was well-​priced, as where others on their menu. I will def. be returning to Christine’s for another facial as my skin was radiant for weeks following!

I really loved this place! The interior is neat and comfortable. I was pleasantly greeted by staff and didn’t have to wait a minute till I was escorted to a nice room for my facial.
I enjoyed the experience, the products that the spa uses is top quality. The lady who was providing a service was very friendly and sweet. I especially liked the fact that no one was trying to sell me anything or push me into buying extra services that I didn’t need at that time.
I will definitely book another appointment with them.

I’ve been going to Christine’s for about 10 years. Christine is fantastic and works really hard to find skilled massage therapists and estheticians-​I feel like whomever I end up seeing, I know they’ll be great.
I am very glad that the nail salon has been folded back into the spa these days-​so much better than a couple of years back. Christine does a great job with the electrolysis as does Aisha and my massages are always top notch. Love this place, so glad it is still going strong :)

If you are looking for the best deep tissue massage around, I recommend «LJ: she is the best there is! I have been getting massages for over 30 years, and it is hard to find someone who is not only talented but knowledgeable. LJ is trained in pain management and is amazing at finding just ‘the right’ spot that needs to be worked on. She is fabulous!

I had a day off and decided to try a few trubates/​groupon specials. Unfortunately my experience prior to arriving at Christine’s (hair cut.) wasn’t a very positive one but they definitely changed that all around. I believe my esthetician’s name was Irina and she was super sweet. The promotional pricing was great but I am not sure I would consider paying the full price. The facial was nice and relaxing but I feel like other salons do more extraction which was my primary concern. I’ll definitely keep an eye out for more specials so that I can learn more about this place!

Such a great experience here! They are so friendly and do a magnificent facial. I got a gift certificate for my birthday and was so pleasantly surprised with the profesionalism and skill of the ladies here. Would give 5 stars!

I have been a devoted customer of Rachel’s since I discovered her at her previous place of business and subsequently followed her here. Rachel does a fantastic job on pedicures and brow waxing, you won’t find better. Today she polished my three year olds toes and did a pretty flower per my toddies request, she got a big hug and a kiss as thank you.

I just got a shellac manicure done at this spa and was very very happy with it! it’s the first time i have done a manicure here, and it was great!
BUT what really rocks is their other services… I have been a client for about 5 years and am hair-​free in all visible places thanks to Christine’s electrolysis. REALLY HAIR FREE! I have lovely skin, and i thank a variety of their aestheticians for that! I have never had a bad facial, massage, waxing or now manicure experience from them in all my time going there. Thanks!

Super friendly, welcoming environment to buy gift certificate for my wife or a client. Love to attend the client appreciation nights. Christine and staff make friends with men & women equally. You’d never know what discreet things happen behind those closed doors.

Christine is wonderful (and ethical — she would not wax my daughter’s brows because she suspected retin-​A and called me!!). Suzanne is great with teens, the teen facial is a must. We’ve tried facials at other places and my daughter always leaves feeling badly about herself. A model for aesthetics businesses everywhere, Décor a bit frumpy, don’t be put off.

The massage I got was awesome. She did a really good job in figuring out what my body needed. I was so relaxed & didn’t want the massage to end.
I didn’t understand why I needed to wait when I walked in for my appt because they were on the phone. Whenever I have called they put me on hold like forever. It was the same thing when I was leaving too.

I really like Christine’s and feel like it’s the «best in class» that I’ve seen in Boston for the type of spa that it is – they have every typical spa service, plus really great electrolysis which I’ve been getting with Christine, the owner, for awhile. I like that with my hectic schedule I can call anytime and know that whichever professional is available will be excellent. I would say that I have found individual waxers/​aestheticians elsewhere that I have really liked, but never a whole spa that was of such consistently excellent quality.
I think overall I’ve been going here for about 8 years at this point. Some services/​people I’ve liked more than others, but I have yet to have a horror story from here, and I have an array from other spas.
