I needed to send food for a family sitting shiva and I wasn’t quite sure what to do — the shop was amazing. They were so nice and incredibly sincere with me — they helped me to come up with a great food arrangement for 10 at a reasonable price. I am so happy that I called them!

They won’t just sell you great kosher meat, but they’ll give you a couple of suggestions for recipes too! All you have to do is ask. :-)

fantastic home made roast beef that melts in your mouth. Prices are understandably high considering the quality. this is an old school one-man shop butcher – two if you count the rabbi I guess, which there’s been a rabbi onsite every time I’ve visited.

The previous review, attacking the kashrus of this business, is the lowest of the low. The owner is a gutte neshama, a wonderful butcher, a terrific cook, and I can only say good things about both the owner and his food. I just devoured a tongue that he made special for my mother; I had a smoked veal chop from the case the other day. Plate — licking — worthy. This is why you go to a butcher instead of Trader Joe(perfectly good food, but no tongue, no veal chop, no special order smoked turkey legs, etc). The owner will make or order anything you might ever want, will have it ready within 24 hours, knows your name, asks what else he can do to help, offers any custom anything you might desire, will help with recipes, this is the best customer service in the city, highest quality kosher food, I cannot say enough good things about this business.

We need to find kosher items on certain occasions. This is one of the places we go. This is a kosher business in an area where kosher business is in great demand. When we heard that they had been in violation of Kosher regulations we were shocked. It seems the kosher supervision had been«discontinued» but the owned«forgot» to change signs in the store and on the awning. A new supervision was«in the works» but hadn’t been«finalized». WHAT? Kosher is the main reason this place exists, and proper rabbinical supervision is mandatory. I was very disappointed. Kind of like a taxi driver who«forgot» he had lost his licence and was«about» to get the problem fixed. Does not inspire confidence.
