Nikolas Pizza

2014÷10÷29, school visit and interview at St. George’s school then had lunch there. Very good pizza and BBQ chicken wings.

We almost missed out on this place since the reviews are so bad. I changed my mind when I saw they had thin crust pizza. And it was the best darn thin crust pizza I’ve had in awhile! It was nice and crispy, just how I like it. The service was great too. The kitchen made a mistake on our pizza order, so instead of half cheese, half pepperoni, we got one of each! On our way out, our waiter offered up some great suggestions on where to go for a fun Saturday evening. So I say… ignore the Negative Nancys and enjoy this spot!

no idea why they have such a low score ive been eating at nikolas since i could get solid food down and know thier # by heart theyve got the best sandwich’s on earth as far as i’m concerned and pile it on can’t think of a single time i ate a whole one in one sitting or a single time it took more than 30 minutes for delivery, one of the 3 places i like to order from, i like 1 other pizza joint and the other place is chinese food, their pizza is above average but if your ordering from nikki’s i suggest their sandwich’s and salads you won’t be dissapointed

Pretty good food — I have had pizza here but my go to is the chicken parm appetizer. It is 2 large pieces of chicken and the meat sauce is SO GOOD. finger-​licking good. (no pasta with the appetizer). It also comes with garlic bread. I have ordered the chicken parm dinner but they put the sauce on the side and its not enough to cover the chicken and pasta so i opt out. this place is also opened until 2am i believe — open late so recommended for late night pizza.

people have rated low for dumb reasons. The staff is as friendly as it gets and there is all sorts of indoor and outdoor seating. Every item I have had has been awesome and the service is quick and attentive. I love newport and this is one of my go-​to spots for food

Disappointment ! I used to live in Newport about 10 years ago and ate here many times, enjoying many menu items from their pizza, half chicken dishes, Greek salads and Greek dishes. We moved to Middletown and recently discovered they delivered here so decided to order their extra large shrimp scampi style pizza for $ 23.00. My only request was prep the pizza like usual just leave the tomato sauce off (white pizza, I make pizza all the time so know what I’m talking about). I hung up the phone and suddenly recalled her telling me the pizza was going to cost me $ 29 ! I called back and asked why. The phone passed around, I never got an answer and told them to just cancel my order. They asked if they charged me $ 26 would I take the pizza ! I said I couldn’t understand their menu price for XL shrimp pizza for $ 23 I ask to leave an ingredient OFF why would the price jump way UP ?!? No answer, just asked now if I would want it if it were $ 24? This is a joke, right ?!? Am I on The Price Is Right? I’m thinking this must be some damn good pizza, yes, send it for $ 24 (but why am I paying more is still be question) Anyhow I wait, knock on the door, excitedly I open the box… Ok this is a joke right ?? Is there a camera peeking through my window? A HORRIBLE, worst tasting ever, 11 inch, cardboard flat $ 24 pizza with 10 tiny shrimp on it ! Remember: I ordered and paid extra for XL !! I called back, got called hon (told the girl to stop calling me that as I find it rude but she wouldn’t stop) long story they said «well hon you ordered a gluten-​free crust» oh heck NO I did not !!! So that explained the horrible taste but not the pizza shrinking from XL to 11″. They obviously deliberately messed with me and my order for questioning why they charged me more then the menu price. Ridiculous. I asked to talk to the manager who wasn’t in. I got a call back few minutes later my credit card wasn’t going to be charged but I’ll believe it when I get my next months statement.
I really wanted to try this place again but this incident was way too over-​the-​top inexcusable, rude and just wrong. There’s too many other options around. Good businesses would have apologized with a small gift card for the inconvenience and frustration of being treated so poorly/​rudely. Word of mouth can be pretty damaging to a business. Owner take note.

So I’ve just gotta say that this place is bangin. Seriously. I just moved away, but I wanted to thank them for years of delicious munchies. That lasagna is freaking perfect. All the people I interact with there are awesome. Shout out from 62 Warner. You guys will be missed. All that being said, and I manage a direct competitor. And I wanna give credit where credit is due. Thanks for always showing the professionalism I try to go for. It really shows. I’m rambling… This place rocks.

Worst place I ever ate at first I asked for lite cheese got extra cheese the we get the bill it’s 13.50 just for dough and an extra 8.50 yes eight dollars and fifty cents so for a large steak and cheese calzone it cost 21.75 for a calzone that had barely any meat in it are you kidding me I would never eat here again and I’ll let all my friends know never to eat here cause the menu does not tell you that dough cost 13.50 for nothing on it the waitress was like ya sorry the menu don’t say that really so u f#*% all your patrons and let them find out at the end after they ate it it’s like saying its 3.00 for a hot dog roll but the hot dog that goes inside is an extra 5.00 and if u want ketchup and mustard it’s 1.00 extra each lmao so stupid the owner should be ashamed of him self

Ordered a large pepperoni pizza. It was pretty small for a large and cost me over 20 bucks. Pizza wasn’t very good. Aquidneck island needs a solid pizza joint.

Will never go back. Homemade lasagna was 1) not homemade 2) probably previously frozen, and 3) disgusting. I never send food back but I couldn’t even eat it. My grandsons pizza was probably a frozen 6 inch pizza heated in the microwave. Don’t waste your time or money!

I just ordered a Pizza here, they have some «awesome meal deals» but the garlic pizza was just awful, a little bit of cheese (or overcooked) that seems like a sauce pizza instead of cheese pizza with garlic… and the garlic was all together instead of spread out in the whole large pizza… at least they have an offer so wasn’t that expensive. I don’t think I’ll come back and I live here in Newport.

Great food. If you order a calzone, get the small one unless your hungry! I recommend the Newport Storm draft if your into darker beer. Overall great experience!

Nikolas is a special place for college students, $ 20 for a pizza with one topping, and 12 wings. While it’s not the best pizza around it’s certainly the most consistent no matter the time of day or night. Thanks for dealing with us all! 5 stars for the people, 4 for the food!

Calamari and banana pepper pizza! So tasty. Eat it while its hot though! Never had a bad experience here.

Review of LATE NIGHT PIZZA ONLY!
Came here at about 1am after a long night of partying downtown Newport. Not too bad of a walk.
As expected, it was filled with people at about/​above my level of intoxication. Pizzas were flying off shelves, hot-​and-​ready style to feed the mouths of drunks from throughout the area.
From what I can remember, pepperoni pizza was pretty decent and price was cheap.
If you’re looking for a late night grub, I recommend it!

The pizza is absolutely disgusting. It is half cooked, yet somehow the cheese is overcooked which will remain a mystery to me. We got delivery because the wait would be half hour at the place — we are a block away and the pizza took 50 minutes to show up. It was definitely just sitting around for awhile because the pound of grease had settled nicely into the center of the pie. Ew.
SKIP IT! Better off making a frozen pizza at home.

Excellent pizza and garlic bread, I mean excellent. I’m coming back many more times, cute inside and outside seating, good service Parking on site and around the corner. I may even bring my wife here or just keep as my secret goto place… Oh yes lots of Greek foods.

So just stopped in for a late lunch and wow what a disappointment. I got a «antipasti salad». It had literally one olive, straight out of the supermarket american ham and salami. In no way was this salad related to antipasti. Some other items at our table were a ridiculous excuse for potato skins (they were tiny), and a small cheese pizza that looked to be frozen (not sure). Literally the only thing that was ok was my cup of clam chowder, and the service. I won’t be back, nor will I get drlivery. Haha

We stopped in here on our way out of Newport b/​c our daughter wanted pizza. Ok, we can swing that.
She had a small pepperoni pizza which was perfect for her to have for dinner and end up with a couple of slices to take home.
We split a chicken parm sandwich and it was awesome, great sauce.
Now. .. it got a little hairy with the bruschetta — I like a traditional, straightforward bruschetta — tomato, garlic, basil, olive oil on some nice crispy bread. This came out on a pita-​type bread and it was loaded with stuff artichoke heart, roasted red pepper, mushroom I think. .. Not at all what anyone expected, I might not have read the menu description, I can’t remember if it said all that. On the bill it was noted that we got a ‘large order’ which we certainly didn’t ask for.
Our waitress was good and efficient, Brenda.

Asian chicken salad? More like Asian newspaper paper salad. Dry tasteless and boring!
Gyro sub par
And the soup was definitely out of a can. By far the worst meal in Rhode Island.
