It was hot and humid outside, and my daughter and I saw this oasis of a smoothie stand in the middle of Bowen’s Wharf. No clam chowder for us, so we made a beeline to this stand. Now $ 6.00, one can have a smoothie made with 3 different FRESH fruits. The bins where the fruit were stored were visible, and were very appealing. My daughter had one made with strawberry, mango, and banana. Like what HyunJoo K. noted, they use a base of apple juice, and no sugar. I didn’t get a smoothie, but had a freshly squeezed limeade. My daughter’s smoothie tasted exactly what I expected… not too sweet, just pure fruit flavor. My limeade was hand-squeezed, and hand shaken with a little bit of sugar. A little pricey for a smoothie, but refreshing!

I love this place! Today I stopped by with my bf after a long cliff walk along Newport’s coastline. We ended up walking back into town into Bowen’s Wharf, and this cute juice bar sits in the middle by a large anchor for kids to climb, only open seasonally(makes sense). Today, we grabbed a mix of pineapple, banana, and coconut smoothie. It hit the spot! We loved it so much, we went back for another. It is $ 5.75 for a smoothie with a choice of up to 3 fruits. All of their fruits are fresh, and no canned fruit. Base is apple juice. Stop by if you need to cool off! BTW, the phone number listed is bogus; I had to put something in to put this review in — They don’t have a phone there !!!
