Mr. Rooter Plumbing

One week ago after buying a home in Newport, I called Mr. Rooter and they sent Terri. the plumber, to my home. He gave me an extensive list of everything that needed to be done. He provided me an estimate after examining all the work and detailing it to me which came to approximately $ 1300 dollars for all of the work. He recommended doing two of the jobs and waiting on the others until I purchased my washer and dryer unit. I called back in one week after purchasing the washer dryer unit. I scheduled, and Terri arrived more than two hours late without an apology. He then called me and told me the work that should have been approximately $ 700 dollars was now going to take 5 hours and more than $ 1000 dollars. I objected and he stated he would call his manager. The manager never called me despite asking that he do so. Terri called me and told me that his manager said the price was fair.
I tried to stay local and returned to have my work completed. I would not recommend this company, and I will be filing with both the licensing authority and Better Business Bureau. Not only was Terri not honest and couldn’t remember our extensive discussion, but the manager didn’t respect my business enough to even call me at my request.
Definitely beware and do not contract this company!
