History

Established in 2003.

I have 30 yrs of travel industry experience from owning a Tour Company in Houston, Texas to working in CT & RI as a Corporate Travel agent for Carlson Wagonlit and American Express.

During 9/11,while working as an American Express Corporate Travel Agent onsite at the military plant, Raytheon, I learned the meaning of grace under fire. Our travel team was the sole communication for our customers trapped overseas and around the US. As the only liaisons between them and their families we kept our customers calm and secure in the knowledge that we would help them come home safely.

After 9/​11, I left the corporate world to return to a more leisurely pace to promote inbound travel for New England. I took a position as the Director of Reservations for a service which promoted the vast territories of Nantucket, Newport, Cape Cod & Martha’s Vineyard. Eventually I decided to break out on my own and that is when Harmony Travel was created to solely promote my adopted city of Newport.
