The HoneyBaked Ham Co & Cafe

I work nearby and when I really want to treat myself (I do. A lot!) I get lunch from Honeybaked Ham. I have had everything on the menu and you cannot go wrong with any of the choices. Everything is fresh and delicious consistently. The lunches and sides are just wonderful and they also offer larger portions of the sides plus amazing cakes in the freezer case. If you are ever stumped on what gift to give someone, they have jars and bottles and cans of wondrous foodstuffs and even wine. The ham salad by the pound is fantastic AND they will sell you ham bones for your bean and split pea soup! The last one I bought must have had 2 pounds of ham attached to it! Courteous, friendly staff, as well. As if this weren’t enough, they offer a punch card towards a free sandwich!

I’ve always been a fan of Honey Baked ham but this was my first time ordering a café item from them before. Wow! I should not have waited so long! I ordered the BBQ Smoked Stacker with a side of Broccoli Bacon Bliss and it was perfect. The bread was fresh and tasty, there was ample meat and bacon, and the smoky BBQ sauce was phenomenal. The side dish was smaller than I thought but it was so good that it didn’t even matter. I will definitely be a regular at this spot!

I wonder if there’s anywhere in America where HoneyBaked Ham is as popular as say Panera or Au Bön Pain. For the record, I find Au Bob Pain overrated and the bread way too hard. But I’ll save that for their review if I can ever being myself to go back. Alas, HoneyBaked almost seems as if it doesn’t *want* to be popular. What are they anyway? They do have «café» in the name, but I didn’t see any coffee on my two visits.
I’ll tell you what they are — a great alternative to the other chain sandwich shops dotting the Peninsula. HoneyBaked offers sandwiches that look and taste like they came out of your fridge, post-​holiday feast.
I’ve had the Tavern Club (turkey, ham, bacon) and it tasted delicious. The meat came in thick «carving board» cuts. HoneyBaked is known for their honey mustard spread. I could pour it on anything. On my second visit, I had the ham salad sandwich. I never had ham salad before. That’s how much I trusted the folks at HBH (yes, new acronym). It was great. I hope all ham salad tastes like that. The consistency wasn’t too mushy or mayonaisey. It tasted like it was made fresh that day and not glopped out of a big bag or bucket.
Pro tip: order the box lunch. It’s a sandwich, chips, and cookie for under $ 10. HoneyBaked Ham might be a bit more pricey than Tropical Smoothie or Panera, but it’s a good sport to switch things up when you’re bored with the rest or missing the taste of holiday leftovers invading your back-​to-​reality lunches.

You can’t go wrong with anything from HoneyBaked Ham! :) The products are pricey, but quality!
We visited right after the holidays and when we first got there, we were the only ones there, so I thought they may not do as much business in the restaurant as they do online. Very shortly after, it was like the flood gates opened and folks were in and out like crazy.
If you haven’t done so, sign up for their member club on the website… you get coupons emailed to you and a free sandwich on your birthday. I love the chutney on the ham sandwich, its such a *sweet* twist (no pun intended!) :)

They have very tasty sandwiches and fairly inexpensive. The brownies are really delicious.

Great quality ham & sandwiches! I have been thoroughly impressed with not only the food but the service I receive at this business every time. Both of these factors always have me coming back as a very satisfied & happy customer!
