During the summer months, we also offer summer camp from 7:00am to 5:30pm for one low weekly rate.

History

Established in 1993.

Pastor Alice L. McDade is the Co-​Founder and Co-​Pastor of Mountain Moving Faith Outreach Ministries (Formerly Rhema Christian Center) in Newport News, Virginia which was ordained in 1983.

With a heart for the youth of this generation, Pastor Alice founded Rhema Christian Center Academy in Newport News, Virginia and has served as its Director since it was established in 1993. The Academy is well known throughout the surrounding areas as a «School of Excellence» equipping children to take the gospel back into their homes and communities and to reach high academic levels in their early education

Our Ministry is based on the belief that our communities’ needs are of the utmost importance. Our entire Ministry team is committed to meeting those needs.

As Administrator of the Church and director of Rhema Christian Center Academy, Pastor Alice, along with her husband Pastor Kenneth R. McDade, spearheaded the building of their $ 1.5 million, 700 seat sanctuary along with three other existing buildings — one of which was newly renovated to house a Youth Church.

Pastor Alice studied at Givens Bible College, Washington, D. C,; Kenneth Hagin Home Bible College, Tulsa, Oklahoma; and Marilyn Hickey Home Bible College, Denver, Colorado.

Pastor Alice is sought out as a speaker for conference, seminars and special services throughout the United States. She often says she prefers to preach a «simple» message in such a way that all my come to the knowledge of Jesus Christ.
