Red Feathered Nest specializes in one of a kind vintage home décor and fashion. We also rent vintage props architectural salvage and rustic furniture for events.

History

Established in 2013.

The shop features a collection of furniture and décor for sale, many of them old family pieces from the owner’s large southern clan. «I reached a tipping point when my mother inherited another house jammed full of family heirlooms this past spring. There were so many treasures, but I just couldn’t keep them. I had flirted with the idea of opening a store or event rental business, but I knew I should seize the moment if I was serious about starting a new endeavor.» And that is how the Red Feathered Nest was born.

Fowler, recently retired as Director of the City of Chesapeake Public Library System, has a long resume of managing big projects, including spearheading several major new construction and renovation projects where she honed her creativity and design skills.
