To say we were surprised would be putting it mildly. Our meal for 2 adults and 1 child came to $ 22. It was amazing. Indonesian Peanut Sauté had the perfect balance of peanut to spice. The veggies were fresh and tasty. Thai Hot Pot was flavorful with a good kick. The staff was accommodating to our kids meal alterations. We can’t wait to go back again.

My husband came in right as they opened for lunch and we both left completely satisfied. We were greeted immediately and the guy was very friendly and helpful. We were checked on multiple times, the food was excellent and the customer service was on point. This will definitely be our new place to go for lunch.

Excellent service. Every time. Anytime an order is messed up, it is promptly and without question fixed. The noodles always hit the spot. Favorites are the Japanese Pan Noodles and the Tuscan Fresca.

Okay I am upping this to five stars. We come here often enough and we are never disappointed. Take today for example. The wrong order arrived at our table, before it was even set down we let them know it was the wrong one and immediately the right meals were brought. We didn’t think twice. However, my husband decided he wanted a rice crispy treat brick(seriously they are huge!) and went to buy one, but they gave it to him free of charge due to the food mix up earlier. The service has always been incredible and I don’t think I have been disappointed by any of the noodle choices. I really love this place. And of course my son is in love with all things Mac and cheese so he is happy when we come.

I’m always is this area going to BWW and Baileys so I pass this place all the time. Finally stopped in for a take-out. Business was slow on this Tuesday evening as there were only 2 customers seated in the lobby eating. The place was really clean. The staff I would say is in their late teens or twenties. I was greeted by a very friendly and bubbly cashier. I ordered the Japanese Pan Noodles with pork and Tomato Basil Bisque to go. There is an outdoor eating are for nice weather but your view is of Jefferson Ave. Inside there’s a good number of seating with a number of stools afixed to the floor facing a window that looks out into the parking lot. Hmmm. In any case besides these oddities, service was fast and the food cooked to order. I would say the pork in my dish while very tender begged for some seasoning. There were only a few mushrooms at the bottom of my bowl which was a little disappointing because I love mushrooms. My bowl was really packed so I can say there was ample enough to fill me up. I really liked the Tomato Bisque. It was of the right texture, not too thick or thin, had a good tomato flavor and was seasoned wonderfully with small bits of veggies in the broth. I’m not traditionally a noodle fan outside of spaghetti but I wasn’t disappointed with my experience. I’ll be back to try some of the other menu items — in due time.

Noodles and Company is a wonderful restaurant, with amazing service and awesome food. The layout is very nice, and the people who work there are very nice, and very considerate of the patrons who eat there. There was not a moment that I didn’t feel welcome, and that is a strange thing compared to other(fast food) restaurants. This place is a wonderful and I will definitely return.

The atmosphere in this place is good. It mixes modern with upscale in feel. The menu is a very big but there is enough variety within it to make up for it. I have had the Thai hot pot, and the Thai curry soup. I was impressed with both and my only complaint was that the noodles were slightly under done. I also tried the potstickers, but they were nothing to write home about. This place is pricey. I had a filling meal for one for $ 15.00. All things aside, I would totally bring a date here. Expensive, but good.

The staff was nothing short of awesome. The employee with the bright red hair could not have been nicer and the food was exactly how we ordered it, which was quite specific due to my lady’s dietary restrictions due to pregnancy. I highly recommend.

This location leaves much to be desired. Waiting for over 5 minutes just to place our order should’ve been a red flag considering the restaurant was basically empty. The drink station was hidden in the very back and no one bothered to help us locate it. All of the tables were filthy which is annoying. I guess they were understaffed. Anyway, we got our food to-go after seeing how filthy the dinning room was. The food was mediocre compared to the Ghent & Lynnhaven locations. I think they should recalibrate and get on the same level as the other locations.

I love the concept of Noodles and Company. My daughter and I choose this place when we’re tired of the usual post-practice lineup(Panera, Five Guys, Chipotle, Chickfila). Pasta provides a nice change of pace. Allows us to break up the monotony of chicken sandwiches, beef sandwiches, pork sandwiches, sandwich sandwiches, and Chipotle. But while I love the CONCEPT of Noodles and Co., the execution isn’t perfect. Pasta is just too personal a meal to make everyone happy. No matter your cultural background, chances are you grew up eating pasta; whether that was rice noodles, penne, or pad thai. Just like with meatloaf, Mac & Cheese is something momma always made better. After trying most of the menu — Mac and Cheese, Penne Rosa, Pad Thai, Indonesian Peanut Sauté, and Bangkok Curry — I’ve decided I like the Penne Rosa the best. I add Parmesan crusted chicken to mine and eat the plate clean. The Asian-inspired dishes just don’t seem to match the flavor of an actual Thai or Japanese restaurant. The Mac and Cheese is just macaroni noodles with a pile of shredded cheese on top. The service is always quick and friendly. I really like the interior and outdoor seating. We’ll continue to keep Noodles and Company in our after-practice lineup.

I have been stopping at the one on the I-295 beltway for years. I did not find out that they had opened one in Newport News for several months. I am glad of that after reading the early reviews. The manager who is there now is fantastic and her staff is a reflection of her. If something is not right it gets fixed quickly with a smile. You do not get waited on until after you order but for a semi-fast food, the service is incredible. Normally I would not eat at a fast food, but after wandering into the first one, I am okay with standing up to order because of how great the service is once you place your order. So let’s start with the order: Like all of the reviewers have said, the staff is friendly. Often they remember your likes and dislikes. They go out of the way to please you. Then the food. WOW!!! For a cheep little semi fast food place it is great. For us vegetarians,(Those of us who do not eat our fellow beings) almost every dish can come without the animal stuff. They are into the best sourcing of food, which means close, renewable farming and other great things. Go there and read about it. It is the same kind of sourcing that Chipotle is doing.(Which is a fast food and cost more.) The service!!! WOW!!! You sit down and they bring your food, making sure everything is right. Any notion of fast food is gone by now. They will come by and check on you and if you need something they will get it. Often times it is the manager, but whether it is her or a member of her staff you feel like they actually do care. Not robot service but real person to person service. The price!!! A couple reviewers complained about the price??? I cannot believe they said that. Maybe they eat their other 2 meals a day in a burger joint. My other 2 meals every day will cost more. Some cost a lot more.

Wow, I’ve seen these around but have never been to one until now. It’s a chain but is really great. They serve good quality food, seem to have a similar philosophy on food as chipotle(same owner? Idk) — fresh ingredients, cage free hen eggs, no gmos, etc. I’d recommend the pesto swirl pasta with Parmesan chicken!

Good place for dinner. Nothing fancy, but very clean. The usual pasta place. Food is good. It is a chain so it is not a super duper place, but good.

All I have to say is i should have read the Unilocal reviews ahead of time. It would have saved me $ 25. We Had the Japanese noodles and pad Thai. Neither was very good. All the veggies were undercooked in my dish and the two mushrooms I found were nasty. I’m not sure what they did to them but they were hard as a rock and tasted really bad(salty?). The pad Thai was basically lacking any flavoring at all. Both dishes were extremely dry. We also requested chicken in each one but I received 4 chicken nugget sized pieces and my wife received 3. Margarita flatbread was the reason for the second star. Staff was nice though. Anyway. We won’t be returning.

This is a chain, so I cannot comment for all locations. This location however, left much to be desired. We ordered the Indonesian Peanut Sauté(Spicy peanut sauce and rice noodle stir-fry, broccoli, carrots, cabbage, Asian sprouts, cilantro, crushed peanuts and lime) and the Bangkok Curry(Sweet coconut curry, broccoli, carrots, red bell pepper, onion, mushrooms, a light portion of rice noodles, served on cabbage with black sesame seeds). The Sauté was dry, bland and the chicken we had added as the primary protein was dry and rubbery. The seasoning was devoid of flavor with a latent heat as if it was oil based and added as an afterthought to flavor. The Curry seemed to have no curry. Once again there was no sauce, it was a rudimentary dry noodle base with some veggies and negligible flavor. The chicken that we order extra as the primary protein was rubbery and unseasoned. As an appetizer, we had the Margherita Flatbread which was soggy and bland. The tomatoes fell off the bread as there was nothing to adhere it to them. I was stunned at that clumsy way these items were assembled. This restaurant appears to have a decent selection of noodles but the execution left me thinking its the worst fast casual in the area.

I walked in about 30 minutes before time and was the only guest. I almost walked out but the friendly worker assured me they were open. I wanted something small and end up getting just man n cheese with chicken. The noodles are mixed with a cheese sauce, the chicken is added and then it’s topped with shredded cheese. The idea is to stir the contents together and the hot macaroni should melt the shredded cheese. Well, the noodles weren’t hot enough to melt the cheese and the dish became lukewarm in less than a minute. I took about half of it home and heated it up the next afternoon. It was much better.

The staff are extremely friendly and eager. Food came out quickly. Prices are low. Food is a little boring nothing 2 brag about. If you’re in a hurry and nearby with a tight budget I recommend this. Microwave some oodles of noodles at home it is about the same. The rice crispy treat was awesome though.

I don’t know if its the location or what… I have gone to a noodles in Wisconsin, Baltimore, Williamsburg, and now here. I can honestly say never again. My husband ordered online and picked it up. I got the mac and cheese. The noodles seemed over cooked and pretty wet. It didn’t seem like the macaroni was evenly coated in sauce, and there wasn’t a liberal amount of cheese. The meat balls tasted like salt balls. My husband ordered the bangcock curry. It wasn’t bad. but when he paid extra for the«pulled pork». Which was bbq? maybe? It didn’t resemble pulled pork. It resembled beef jerky. It was dry and just nasty. It really ruined any potential that the curry may have had. It was also recommended to compliment it. In what universe, I don’t know. But I can promise you not this one. Maybe as I have aged my taste buds have changed. I don’t know. But this was just so terrible my husband threw his away. My husband isn’t a picky eater, he will eat pretty much anything… but never again. At least not in Newport News.

I have been in love with this place since I first stepped foot into one in Wisconsin, and this one definitely does not disappoint! The staff are very friendly, helpful, and make the environment fun! The music is casual and relaxed. It is very clean, but it should be since they just opened! This is the 2nd time I’ve been to this location and I plan on coming back many, many times in the near future! Get here early, there is no line or rush!
