Son of mine is committed to visiting as many Gamestops as humanly possible. We found our way to this one in the Patrick Henry Mall over New Year’s holiday. Looked identical to the other 45 shops we have checked out, but then again, I don’t see what my 14 year old does with his panoscopic vision. All I know is that I walked out $ 70 lighter after he picked up a set of gaming headphones. As always, there was at least one complete geeked-out employee who answered every question with ultimate enthusiasm, and was having difficulty shifting between his realities. They communicated in their private dialect as I listened in wonder. Who knows? Maybe these guys will save the Universe some day.

Simple GameStop in the Patrick Henry Mall, I don’t know why but there are two of them in this location for some reason. I prefer the GS next to Forever 21 because it’s bigger and a little bit more spacious. They have plenty of options for used and new games for every console. The staff is generally friendly and in the know in regards to new games coming out and reccommending decent games. As a girl gamer though its annoying coming in here and people assuming I’m buying something for a guy or that I’m here for girl dance games only(which I do own, tyvm) and I could do without the guys here getting all creeper status. Overall, I don’t and probably never will understand why people go to Best Buy or other major retailers for new video games, just buy them here. They tend to be cheaper and used games still function just fine. Oh, and take advantage of the Power Up card, good deals, especially on used games. I’ve been going to GameStop for as long as I remember and will continue to do so.
