I love this Dunkin Donuts. I’ve been served through their drive thru as well as the counter inside. I always get fantastic service here. Everyone is super professional, and they’re pretty quick. I have one small gripe. They don’t have Almond Milk instead of creamer. For someone who is allergic to milk, this is kind of a big deal. I’d frequent there more if they had an alternative other than skim milk.

Stepped in the store at 6:30 pm on a Tuesday for a cup of coffee. One salesperson was working the drive through, she said someone would be with me soon. I left after three minutes and no activity from any of her teammates who may have been in the back. I’m a big Dunkin’ Donuts fan, and this is the worst franchise I have ever visited. Even though their coffee is generally below average, I’m always going to go to the Krispy Kreme donut place right across the road from this McDonald’s when I am in the Newport News area and need a cup of coffee. Their service folks are a lot more friendly and efficient!

Had some bad experiences in the past, from order inaccuracy to just plain rudeness from staff. but lately… I don’t know if they have new management or what it is… but they have really cleaned up their act… they get my order correct the first time and staff is surprisingly cheery… please keep it up!

I have had entirely too many negative experiences here over the past 2 years to leave anything but a 1 star review. I have written and spoken with the customer service reps for the franchise and it seems they really do not care about this location. I kept torturing myself going back for hit and miss service but I am not doing that at this location anymore. I just can’t justify spending $ 50 a week here for unkind service and bad coffee. There’s only one employee who seems to like their job and does it well. My coffee was always right when I ordered with her, 1 sugar and full cream(4 sugars and 4 creams are the norm for a large). When anyone else makes it my coffee is so sugar laden I have to toss it out so I generally order no sugar. The issues I have had: 1. Refusing to give me a total until I pull up 2. Giving me a total and changing the amount to something higher when I pull up 3. Drive thru woman screaming, ‘WHATDOYOUWANT’ at the car in front of me and when it was my turn, ‘YES??‘ 4. My bagel being overcharged for butter. The durn butter debacle. I wish someone could just get it right. Some how only 2 people at this store understand the keys on the register that allows for swaps instead of ‘additions’. I am not adding butter on top of my cream cheese, I am swapping the two entirely. One possible manager actually argued with me about the butter thing and stated that the head of the franchise wasn’t the same as the rest in the area. although the franchise secretary in NC begged to differ. 5. Cream cheese being put on my bagel instead of butter after I paid the extra 35−75c for butter. Then they run out of the bagel I ordered so it can’t be remade. 6. They gave me sweet tea with sugar, cream and chocolate syrup instead of an iced coffee. and I nearly died of shock 7. No eye contact from the young male worker at the window. He literally has thrown a bag into my car and spilled coffee because he was too busy talking inside to look at me during the drive thru exchange. I very much dislike having ANY1 star reviews under my belt but this place really takes the cake for most cringe-worthy experiences I’ve had over a period of time. The franchise owner and management just doesn’t care about the issues. Nothing has ever been fixed in the 2 – 3 years I have been going here.

My family takes me to this DD all the time while i’m in town. Today, the service was extraordinary. I guess I found my favorite DD spot in all of Virginia! Awesome!

I’m an «up norther» so Dunkins is my jawn. This one is hit or miss. The same guy owns all the area franchises so this review could really cover them all because it’s really no different for any of them here. First, the place changes out staff faster than I change out underwear. I’m a regular, but it doesn’t matter because they’ll never know since none of them make it past a month or two. That says a lot about the management if you ask me. Another weird thing, riddle me this, the people who speak English perfectly can’t get an order right to save their lives, but the ones who speak broken English, including a few Asian girls they had for a few weeks who were literally barely able to muster but a few words, nail it every time. How is this possible? I’d make a societal rant right now, but it won’t matter, this is a review about donuts and coffee, so let me keep it light… OH! And speaking of light, perhaps the thing that drives me most nuts is when I order an iced coffee and get a glass of cold milk. It’s every Dunkins in the area, same thing. I’m a pasty whitey Cracker McWhitebread and yet they try to hand me a glass of iced«coffee» lighter than me. That’s not an exaggeration, I even one time held the cup next to my arm and asked the girl if she was serious??? When I’m in Philly, New York, or Boston, this is never a problem. It’s just here and it is every Dunkins in the area. So, dude, just ask for like half the cream. Yeah, makes sense, right? Except for some reason, the«half the cream» trigger in their brain somehow fires off the«half the sugar» button. I have no idea why ALL of them are wired this way, but it seems worthy of a Social Experiment. I may submit this to Johns Hopkins, seriously, it makes no sense at all. What is so unfathomable about half the cream, normal sugar? You’d think I’d handed them a mixed up rubiks cube and said, «Go!» They crack under the pressure of remembering half the cream but all of the sugar… Again, I’ll forego the societal commentary I’d ordinarily make here because… Coffee and donuts. And they’re almost always out of sesame seed bagels. Like, I have to fight with everything in me that is holy to not give them an economics lesson on supply and demand because I know they’re not the decision makers here. But it’s like, do you have everything bagels? Yes. Oh ok, how about Poppy? Blueberry? Onion? Egg? Plain? Yes, yes, yes… Yes… Yes! Well then what the #%£!@ does that tell you? Maybe… And follow me here, just MAYBE, you should make more sesame seed bagels, because obviously that’s the(bleeping) bagels people want the most!!! Drives me up a wall, because I want to like them, and they show some signs of hope every once in awhile. Some of the staffers they’ve had have been pretty good. They once had a girl with the cutest lil voice, she was good, got it right most times and was very friendly. But I haven’t seen her in weeks, that usually means they’re gone. And the Asian girls, I wish I knew their names because this seems rude of me to call them«the Asian girls» but they were really good. Aside from those folks, they’re el stinko. Especially their weekend staff, they’re the most confused of them all. I honestly don’t mean to come off as a jerk… But this is a review so that others can know what to expect. It’s important to be bluntly honest so here you go. Orders usually wrong, milk they call coffee, and your odds are higher of finding Jimmy Hoffa’s body there than a sesame seed bagel. Good luck!

I never write reviews but I really wanted a bagel so I came here and I asked for cream cheese and jelly. They didn’t give me cream cheese and I only got one jelly packet !! Ughh

Ill get right to the point. I was on my way to work. Stopped to get some coffee and a breakfast sandwich. I went through the drive thru, ordered, and waited almost 10 minutes before I finally got my food. The drive thru is VERYSLOW and I highly recommend going inside. Service may be quicker. The coffee was AWESOME!

This place was great. After the remodel and owner change, I don’t waste my money here. Unless you’re there early selection is limited at best.

New to the area! We’ve noticed it seems there’s not much business at this location compared to other Dunkins which is a very strange thing to see for us. I guess after three visits we’ve discovered why. Second visit they were out of the donut we wanted, third time they were out of cinnamon munchkins. Service is great but availability is terrible and its obviously not because their busy and they run out. From 3 to 2 stars, we went back one LAST time(4th Attempt) and they were out of the chocolate glazed munchkins. It will now be worth the 12 mile drive to KK for fresh and available doughnuts all the time.

Rude people, got our order wrong, didn’t happily fix it… and why did I just pay 4.05 for a large iced coffee? Guess that’s shame on me. but next time I’ll wait in line at starbucks.

Let me start with I am a huge Dunkin fan, however I stopped here on a recent road trip and this place made me so frustrated. The staff seems poorly trained and unknowledgable. They also seem to go at their own pace, I waited in line for almost 15 min with only 2 others in front of me. The one and only sandwich I ordered took another almost 10min. The doughnut I ordered tasted fine, as well as the coffee, but the poor service and blank stares of confusion when asked a menu item question was a huge turn off. I will not be stopping here again on future trips.

I recommend going inside to place your order. It never fails when I go through the drive-thru, my order is wrong. Other than that, Dunkin is my go to coffee shop!

I want to like this. I swear I do. We went to a DD Unit in Hershey PA this past winter, and ordered a box of Munchkins. And while we were there, we saw the POP advertising for their new breakfast items. We finally got the chance to try them outside of Richmond, and while not the best breakfast I have ever had, there was an amount of effort put into the production that made me overlook any misgivings I had. Our second venture to a DD to try breakfast was not pleasant. Cold, hotel restaurant breakfast type food, and complete inattentive service, had me swearing this place off. Today, we tried for a third time. While the service was much better, our food was hot, and nicely prepped, it still tasted like those«omelet’s» that you get on your typical hotel breakfast. The biggest giveaway, was the smell in the store. There was not one, aside from coffee. In my entire life I have never been anywhere bacon was cooked, where the building did not fill up with the smell. Like magic. It draws you to the kitchen. As best as I can tell, their breakfast items(the components) come out of a bag. Pre-prepared ahead of time and microwaved to warm them up. Peek around the corner, into the ‘kitchen’ next time you stay at a hotel with a ‘free’ hot breakfast. You’ll immediately understand. I may be wrong. But I doubt it. I asked the counter girl about where their donuts were cooked at. She told me, used to be here. But now everything comes in boxes and we bake them in the back. Bake them? Bake them? To truly understand the magnitude of that statement, go stand inside of a Krispy Kreame shop and watch the donut machine cranking out their glazed beauties by the hundreds. Enjoy a hot donut, lit by the glow of their Hot Donuts Now sign lit like a beacon of more gooderness. And then think about Dunkin Donuts, and the fact that some box that comes out of a freezer, with pre-made donuts inside makes it’s way to you. It’s like comparing Mud and Mayonnaise. Breaks my heart. I love Blueberry cake donuts, and this is the only place that I can find them. I may suffer myself through their Hampton Inn breakfast, in order to get a donut, occasionally. But I will not make it a habit. Disappointed. This breakfast truly had a lot of potential. Not recommended. @Removeyourhat

Really horrible service and the donuts, no matter what time of day you go, never seem very«fresh.» You could get the same quality donut from a 7-Eleven. They never have a good selection of donuts either, but I guess that’s OK since they taste nasty anyway. I’ve been for both breakfast and an afternoon treat with my daughter. It always takes forever to pay because they seem to only be using one credit card machine between all the registers. Make sure to check your donuts before you drive off if using the drive-thru. I’ve gone through and ordered a dozen for the family only to find out they stacked the box with donuts I didn’t ask for. Weird. One particular afternoon I took my 7-year-old to grab an after-school treat(it was National Donut Day and DD was running some promotion). I waited in line behind one lady for about 5 minutes — no biggie — but why does it take 5 minutes to sell 2 donuts? We finally get to the counter and the DD employee walks away over to the drive-thru window and just starts chatting with the other employee. Then she makes eye contact with me, so I said«hi» to be polite and grab her attention, but she kept turning around in circles and chatting with her fellow-DDer. What the heck that was about I don’t know. If my kid wasn’t so amped up to get a sugar fix I would’ve left.

I am not a fan of this DD. The new management is horrible. I’m not 100% sure if it is her or the new staff but I am highly disappointed. I have been going to this DD for almost 10 years but I would rather drive to WAWA to get a coffee than to waste any more money here. Serious let down. I want the old owner/manager back!
