Specialties
The Culinary Institute of Virginia (CIV) is ECPI University’s College of Culinary Arts. Our Newport News location is located in the heart of City Center at Oyster Point, just off Interstate 64 at the J. Clyde Morris Boulevard exit. Whether you aspire to be a chef, own your own bakery, or manage a major food operation, our curriculum has been tested and refined to meet the needs of employers who expect the best. Like our knives, we keep ourselves sharp, working closely with culinary professionals throughout the region. They visit campus, guest lecture, provide externships to our students, and serve as trusted members of our campus advisory board. Our campus calendar is packed with activities focused on community service, catering events, and competitions. This gives students the opportunity to work alongside faculty and keep the learning going after class has ended.
