Watson Tung Acupuncture Clinic

We found Dr. Tung through referral from a surgeon on Newport Beach. My husband needed post-​op pain treatment since he reacted with horrible allergies to Western pharmaceutical products. One acupuncture session and he was pain free for days!
I have been a patient since 2008 and have had several ailments treated successfully that had not been cured by Western medicine. Dr. Tung is the BEST! (and I have been to different acupuncture doctors in the past). He takes the time to discuss all aspects of your condition, all symptoms and he gets an overall picture of your health. He then designs a treatment plan that works! Besides acupuncture the treatment may include Chinese herbs that are compounded on the spot. Furthermore, dietary instructions may be given. Follow the instructions and you will get better quickly! I have had successful treatment for a variety of problems, ranging from a sports injury in my knee to chronic allergies that I endured for 2 years before Dr. Tung helped.
His office is very well managed and they will work with patients to make appointments available on short notice.
I have never had to wait a long time in the office and no condition ever required more than a few sessions. I have referred several friends who all have become regular patients.

Dr. Tung is amazing!!! Our daughter (now 9) has had eczema since she was a few months old. She’s always suffered from extremely sensitive, itchy, dry skin. She’d have terrible flare ups that would often result in very painful red, itchy, rough patches on her neck, arms, and legs. It affected her almost every day. We’ve tried a countless number of dermatologists, lotions, oils, and dietary changes to try to provide some relief for her and we’ve never had any luck.
After receiving a referral from a friend, we went to see Dr. Tung for a consultation. At that time our daughter’s neck was very inflamed. He was so caring and very thorough. He discussed a treatment plan of acupuncture and an all-​natural herbal lotion. He told us that her skin would return to baby soft skin. He told us that he treats the disease, not the symptoms. We couldn’t believe that this was possible, but after only two acupuncture treatments and using the herbal lotion her eczema was completely gone in 4 days!!! It was a miracle. Her skin was baby soft. It’s now been 2 months since we first saw Dr. Tung and her eczema hasn’t returned. Her days are carefree and comfortable now that she doesn’t have to deal with painful, itchy skin. I cannot recommend Dr. Tung enough! He’s the best.

This review is long over due. Dr. Tung was amazing. I had Bell’s palsy, and he helped me through it. I was back to normal within a month. I was projected anywhere up to 8 months to recover. He was well informed in both western and eastern medical practices and well informed of my condition. My 1^st doctor a western doctor from kaiser had to look my condition up on web md, and based my prescription on what was on the site. Suprised he doesn’t have more reviews !!

I went to dr. Tung when I was super sick. I had just finished a year working at a stressful job and often had back issues due to my scoliosis. It was so stressful I was losing my hair in large quantities and I’m only 23. He made me feel so much better. In the process I found out that he’s great at fixing certain people’s scoliosis (if you have a «flexible spine» like me or you haven’t stopped growing). So he fixed my scoliosis and now I’m a half inch taller! It definitely required a significant investment of 3 times a week for a month and a half. After that my back felt a a lot better and I’ve had a real improvement in my quality of life as my back no longer hurts all the time. I also haven’t had a muscle spasm in my lower back since! He provided me lots of helpful stretching and strengthening exercises to get my back to have equal muscle mass on each side. I also received herbal medicine to help with the stress. I got cupping done (like what the hollywood celebs do) and acupuncture at the same time so that the process would go faster. You can’t do acupuncture once a week with a serious issue and expect to make progress. Go more often and you get better results like mine.
