We offer one-​on-​one and small group tutoring for 7^th grade to college level math and science. UpGrade Learning stands out among other companies because all our tutors are experts in their subjects. We are all math and science people! We are either fully credentialed teachers, or have attained a B.S. from an accredited university and many of us are continuing in a masters, doctorate or credentialing programs.

We understand that students only succeed at higher levels of mathematics when they understand the material. To accomplish this, our tutors have a strong command of the subject matter and an emphasis is made on problem solving skills as opposed to raw memorization.

At UpGrade we place our focus on deep conceptual understanding in order to enable students to succeed not only in the current class, but to encourage the same thought and analytical ability in all their academic endeavors. For many students, a year of our tutoring is so beneficial that they will excel for years to come.

Meet the Business Owner

Diane C.

Business Owner

Diane began UpGrade Learning, Inc. in 2004 after teaching high school math for 5 years. She earned her undergraduate degree from UCLA in Mathematics and Economics with a minor in Computer Programming. Continuing her education, she earned a Masters in Education and a Teaching Credential in Mathematics. She has extensive tutoring and teaching experience in all levels of high school and junior high mathematics.
