I have been to Dr. Toohey on several occasions for procedures and have always had perfect results. The entire experience is great from when you first enter his plush offices and encounter his kind and lovely assistants to his consultation to the procedure itself and its aftercare. I am always so comfortable and at ease in the knowledge that I am in the most capable hands of one of the best surgeons out there. His «bedside manner» is the best too. Always keeping you informed of what he is doing and why and what results you can expect in a forthright manner but with a lighthearted approach. And I’m always thrilled with his work. Thanks Dr. Toohey!

BAD TUMMY TUCK! Split my muscle (painful)! then told me to wait 5 years and see if it gets better! (probably so I couldn’t sue him) Well it didn’t! I asked for my money back, Toothey laughed and said after 5 years! WHAT A JOKE! He doesn’t care about you, he only cares about making money!

Just had my saline breast implants replaced last Friday with silicone gel implants after 12 years and OMG. Could not be HAPPIER!
Today it is less than one week later and I cannot believe how easy this was to recuperate from!
The day of, I could not believe how painless it was… Second day was a little tender, third day as well. After that every day has gotten better and better and I have full range of motion like before. Of course I am still trying to not overexert myself so I can heal up 100%!.. And The only medication I have taken this whole time was Tylenol over-​the-​counter!
Christine and Devyn run the front office and are very kind, personable and very professional. The day before my procedure Christine called to go over directions for the next day which was very nice and listened to me answering every question I had very patiently.
Dr. Scott, my anesthesiologist was such a pleasure. Great personality and took amazing care of me! I didn’t even feel when he put my IV In and was very comfortable and relaxed the whole time!
Stephanie, my nurse was very sweet and super attentive and she too, took such wonderful care of me and has a GREAT personality.
Dr Toohey, is such an amazing doctor and as far as I am concerned, artist, that makes you feel extremely comfortable from the first consultation, then to the pre-​operative exam all the way to «THE DAY»
My Saline implants were 380cc. (Compared to the new silicone gel they look like pancakes)
We then discussed the possibilities of going up to 590 cc or 650 cc??? I was honestly concerned and was trying to chicken out and go with the 590s but trusted him and he ended up going with 650! I AM SO THANKFUL HE DID!
I was before procedure a 34DDD… Now I am a FULL 34DDD!!! I thought it was going to be a HUGE difference and was a little nervous but
I honestly COULD NOT BE HAPPIER!
I would COMPLETELY trust Dr. Toohey with his recommendations and will ALWAYS go back to him with any of my surgery needs

The worst Dr. ever! Did breast left and suppose to get a reduction and didn’t get the reduction. Left me seriously scared! Came out of surgery w/​staph in fraction that turned into Cellulitis. Was extremely sick and this infection left me severely scared. When I addressed this w/​the Dr he threw myself and my husband out of his office. He wouldn’t turn over my redial records either. He is the most unethical dr I’ve ever dealt with in my life!

BEST DR. EVER!!! Not only is Dr. Toohey amazing at what he does, he’s open an honest about what procedures would be best for you.
I won’t go to anyone else!

Five stars plus! Dr. Toohey is a perfectionist! He gives you realistic expectations, takes time to explain and answer all your questions– and the anesthesiologist he works with is also extremely thorough– true professionals! The staff is very understanding and so accommodating! Am I happy? Yes! Thank you– my results are wonderful!

Dr Toohey is amazing! He is professional and knowledgable yes! But as a patient, I need kindness and a layperson’s description of the procedure. Dr Toohey made me feel comfortable and hopeful. I felt very well informed and confident when I left the office. He changed my life and I will be forever grateful. His office is calming and his staff is friendly. I have been back since my procedure for a check-​up and was treated so well. My procedure was perfect and I’m 100% satisfied with everything that was done for me. I’ve been to Dr. Toohey about 4 times now and he does such a great job that I felt the need to leave him a review. I have very small lips and began getting juvaderm with him. I’m so so happy with the results. They are very subtle and natural, Dr. Toohey never goes overboard and it such a perfectionist. He explains everything as you go and makes sure that you know what is realistic. He is very straightforward and I appreciate that!

I will be honest and say I was an hour late for my consultation and when I made this consultation the receptionist did tell me that that day was a surgery day and Dr. Toohey would see me but it was important I was on time since his schedule was set. With that in mind I had every intention to arrive early but I was really naïve about traffic and thus was late. I did call ahead and I knew my consultation would be less than what it traditionally would be but I was already halfway there and decided to just get there. When I arrived the receptionist did not greet me when I arrived nor make me feel welcome. But thankfully I was helped by Catherine, who seemed very sweet. We started with a brief chat with Dr. Toohey and then a quick examination followed by me trying on sizers. Dr. Toohey was pressed for time but I felt he was a little rough during my examination. I really was glad I got to try the sizers and I felt Catherine was great about explaining everything to me. The office had a cancellation a week from my consultation and I really wanted to schedule that date but things didn’t pan out.
Overall, I’ve read the review for Dr. Toohey and can see how some patients may have negative experiences with him. He is a bit blunt but he seem very confident about his work and he does have years of experience.
I will mention that the reason I did not do my procedure with Dr. Toohey is because I had second thoughts about the inframmary incision Dr. Toohey had recommended because I spoke with another PS who told me that the peri areola may be better for me. Instead of discussing it Catherine texted me that why would I want scars right smack in the middle of my breasts and she’s canceling my hold on the surgery date and good luck. I felt that response was rather crude and uncalled for, you would never say that to a patient who was a candidate for peri areola. Even if she didn’t cancel my hold, after that I would had done it myself.

There is only one word to describe Dr. Toohey, PERFECTIONIST! I saw several doctors for a rhinoplasty before I made my way into his office. Dr. Toohey is so easy to talk to and understanding. The other doctors I saw before didn’t care about what I had to say. They wouldn’t let me talk! I barely got one word in. Then they just rushed me out of there. When I went to Dr. Toohey’s office the staff was very welcoming. When I met with him he wanted to hear my thoughts about what I wanted to get out of the surgery. After quickly deciding he was the Dr. for me it was smooth sailing from then on. I was more than satisfied with the procedure and would recommend him to anyone!

I was referred to Dr. Toohey by a friend. I had an augmentation in 2001, to this day they still look beautiful. I’ll occasionally go in for a check up to make sure the girls are still good. No rupture or rippling thus far. But when they do. I’ll be coming back. Dr. Toohey does great work. He’s a perfectionist. I’ve referred others here too and no complaints from them.

5 starts isn’t enough for doctor Toohey! I went to over 20 consultations with doctors from all over Southern California and none made me as at ease or confident in the doctor as he did. I had my breast augmentation 10 years and 1 kid ago and still have amazing results. Dr Toohey is a perfectionist that takes great pride in his work. He even turned me down when I went back a year later trying to go bigger (I was only 19 and very immature but now am so glad he told me no– that he would not alter an already perfect outcome– and he was so right!)
I am now nearing 30 and looking to get my implants switched out for a different type of implant in the next year or so. I will absolutely be going to doctor Toohey when the time comes because there is no one I trust and respect more.

Dr. Toohey is an intense perfectionist. Overall, very likable & personable w/​excellent suggestions.

What can you say about a perfectionist? He is one of the best, he did a biepharoplasty about 5 years ago. My eyes still look great. He did such an awesome job last September I decided to go for the facelift. This was the best thing I have done for myself I look at least 10+ younger. My down time was minimal the hardest part was not talking for 3 days and having my boys take care of me. I highly recommend him and I do this daily. I am not embarrassed to share. Wish I would have done it sooner.

I had my breast augmentation done by Dr Toohey 14 yrs ago and I’m still happy with my breasts! He was great and gave me great advice at to what size I should be. They look so natural that people always think they are real. They’ve held up to 2 pregnancies and breast feeding. When I need to get them re done I’ll be going break to see Dr Toohey. But since he did am amazing job that may still be a few more years away :)

I just had my surgery 4 days ago. He and his staff are beyond fantastic, caring, and professional. I would recommend my friends and family and any of you who are checking out this site. He took his time with me and generally cared about me. I showed up without an appointment to make my final payment and I had a quick question and he took time to sit with me in his office and discuss my concerns. He helped me to feel like a woman again. I can’t wait to see the results. He is amazing. Dr. Scott is also fantastic. He sat and took his time with me (he is the anesthesiologist). He answered all my questions and reassured me where I was scared. Lee is the nurse and he was so sweet and caring. He even held my hand when I went under. When I came back the next day, he made a point to come and say hi to me. The girls in the front office are ao sweet and genuine. This is a dynamic team. I had a full mommy makeover and I have never had surgery. This team is amazing and I would recommend them to everyone!!!

Dr. Toohey was recommended to me by a co-​worker. I was completely impressed with both him and his staff at how comfortable they made me feel from the initial consultation through the follow up after my surgery. I had Dr. Toohey perform a breast augmentation and they look so natural, not like so many I have seen. He is great at plastic surgery with a natural look. He is a little more costly than other doctors, but worth the price!

Dr. Toohey is a great doctor. He spent a lot of time with me explaining all of my breast revision options. He was extremely helpful, informative, and there was no pressure from him. I will without a doubt use him and recommend him to others.
