Tevan O.

Business Owner

Dr. Oganesyan M.S., D.D.S. obtained his Bachelors of Science at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He subsequently went on to pursue a Masters Program in Oral Biology with an emphasis on Bio-​mechanics of dental implants from UCLA School of Dentistry. He obtained a Doctorate in Dental Surgery from Herman Ostrow School of Dentistry at University of Southern California.

In addition to dental school, he pursued two years of residency in Advanced Education in General Dentistry through A.T. Still University’s Arizona School of Dentistry and Oral Health. His clinical training included– Advanced surgical implants, bony impact extractions, soft and hard tissue grafts, periodontal surgeries, Endodontic therapies and the treatment of complex dental maladies.

Since his graduate studies in 2003, he has presented his research findings both nationally and internationally. As a dental student at USC, he was elected to present his research reports and clinical cases to the Newport Harbo

Totally unprofessional because we used medi-​cal. Told my wife her purse was too expensive and when promised a teeth cleaning only slightly polished them and then asked for $ 600 for a real cleaning

My previous dentist from out of state really did a poor job with my teeth. Upon my cousin’s recommendation I visited Dr. O and had great results. He was friendly, accommodating and did great work. I am not a Unilocal person but I figured the least I could do is write him a review he deserves. Thanks again for turning a terrible experience around and helping me smile again :)

I am new to OC and visited Dr. Oganesyan because I had sore/​painful gums. It was a very positive experience! He had a cancelation that day so I was able to be seen immediately. The office is very soothing, it feels like a spa (Really!). He took a look and told me I needed to come back for a deep cleaning. I was able to see him on a Saturday which was very convenient for my schedule. He numbed my gums and then gave me a cranial massage which was something new for me. It was very relaxing. He did the cleaning and explained everything he was doing and checked in that I was doing OK has he went along. He called me that afternoon to make sure I was doing OK after my visit. He is an excellent choice for your dental needs.

Amazing Dentist!
Very clean and new equipment.
The dentist asked me what kind of music I wanted to listen to since it was my time.
He kept asking how I was feeling and showed my on the lap top close up to my tooth. Very professional I won’t be going anywhere else

Dr Oganesyan is extremely charming and charismatic when you first meet him, that is until you question his costs. His charm quickly turns into aggressive and mean behavior and he will run you in circles if you question him. Dr. Oganesyan over charged me by over $ 300 and continued to try to make reasons why he was owed that money. Going as far as saying things werent covered by insurance that actually were and even saying that he did me a favor (in doing his job) and asking me to be thankful to him. He does not check with your insurance before hand but he will say he did and will charge you what he wants assuring you it is correct. If you dont have the time to verfiy each charge with your insurance company or chase down a refund he makes impossible to get, I would 100% suggest going elsewhere. All the reviews below are how I felt about the Dr when I first met him as well, it wasnt until his true side came out that I realized its how he is able to get people to pay him more than he deserves. Please do yourself a favor and avoid overpaying a man who takes advantage of his patients.

Looking for a knowledgable doctor with up to date technology then this is the place to go! Dr. Tevan is caring, professional and brilliant at his craft! This was my second visit to his office and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. After a thorough consultation with the doctor, I finally decided I was in good hands to remove all my wisdom teeth in one visit. It turned out to be one smooth and painless experience. Followed the surgery that evening I received a phone call from the doctor to make sure I was doing ok. That says a lot about the doctor. Thanks again Dr. Tevan for the AMAZING work! I highly recommend him and his office for all your dental needs!!!

Dr. Oganesyan is truly one of a kind!!! He has not only been mine, but my family’s dentist for years! Do not waste your time spending lots of money and time at other dentist offices. I highly recommend Dr. Oganesyan! He is a dentist who cares about his patients. I was very impressed by his work in fixing my chipped front teeth and his cleaning was painless. He took the time to double check with my insurance and told me my co-​pay amount before he began any work. He also took the time to do x-​rays and took photo’s of my teeth to show me exactly what was good/​bad with my teeth. I have read reviews about other dentists in the area who recommend unnecessary dental work, but by showing me and explaining to me the work he was doing I did not feel like Dr. Oganesyan was dishonest. This is a dentist you can trust to truly look out for your dental care and your wallet.
My teeth have never looked better and I have never left the dentist so happy. I had two cavities that he filled for me pain free. I will be seeing him again for a deep cleaning and to get my wisdom teeth removed, and feel very confidant in his work!
