History

Established in 1996.

Tangram’s legacy originates from the Huntington Desk Company established in 1963. Over the past several decades, the distribution channels for the commercial office furniture industry have compressed with time. Multiple dealerships merged together to form fewer, but larger dealerships. Although its ancestry is lengthy, the Tangram name has been in the Southern California market since 2000 when Pacific Business Interiors merged with California Business Interiors.

Tangram is currently a flagship dealership for Steelcase, Inc. In the past four years, Tangram’s annual sales volume has been top three for all North American Steelcase dealerships serving thousands of small, medium and large corporate accounts. The base of operations is a 210,000 square foot operations center in Santa Fe Springs. Tangram also has offices in Bakersfield, Woodland Hills, Newport Beach, Riverside, Bakersfield and Fresno.
